There's a proposal to end Daylight Savings Time. But that has led to confusion about whether it's really ending the switch and keeping DST all year. It was tried once before in the early 70's and people hated it. We might hate full-time Standard time even more. What do you want to see happen?

Coming from a state that doesn’t have DST
for an excellent reason . Only an absolute idiot would suggest adding an hour of daylight at the hottest part of the day at the expense of the coolest The desert cooling allowed me to golf every summer day in comfort .
In fact I think there would be financial benifit to businesses setting the clocks back an additional hour in the summer.in AZ
As for the rest of the country i also personally prefer the two hour difference vs the 3 for events and family contacts . I realize these are personal interests snd I’m interested in hearing a case for DST in Notthern states .

Why not split the difference and change one-half hour permanently?

There are already several countries have this. Also, many Europeans complain about their similar changes; they can follow suit and change 1/2 hour one time. Problem solved.

If one enjoys getting in some golf after work, DST is great. I could play until close to 9pm in CT. And in Pittsburgh, it's close to 10pm the two weeks before and after the equinox. It's a beautiful thing.

really hoping it gets repealed. I don't care about waking up when it's light out or not. Standard time please. will make life easier. If not nationwide, hopefully California eliminates it...
I’m sorry but life is always going to be hard for those that can’t understand daylight savings time.

As someone who doesn't live in the US anymore, I selfishly prefer a 13 hour time difference to the current 14 hour one.

If it was a 13 hour difference year round, weekday games that start at 7pm Eastern would start at 8am for me, typically finishing before I start work at 10am.

The current switching things is needlessly annoying. Pick one and stick with it.

My personal preference is DST because I like light after work even in winter and I love long lightfilled nights in summer.

Stop us from changing the clocks (more accidents, annoying dealing with kids, etc.) and deal with it.

Idk what the reasons against DST are other than you lose an hour of sleep one Saturday night when we spring forward, get over it. Or sleep in. People just like to complain.
The change each way screws up my sleep cycle for a month+. I would be much happier with permanent DST
