I'd rather not.Brother, you are a running joke on this board. But imagine me all you want!
The Rafael Palmeiro of Uconn. And I'm a big fan of the kid, just not sure him as a prospect was managed appropriately. You're acting like it's just wins he is near the top of. There is a whole thread of other achievements (individual as well as team) he is already the record holder for or soon to be. I encourage you to look it up!
Not diving into this topic again. But it’s circumstantial based on Hurley believing in him way too much. You're acting like it's just wins he is near the top of. Because roles were clear and made sense. We played our best basketball with Mullins being out or on a minutes restriction. Make that make sense.
UFASo, low first rounder?
Mullins actually plays good D and moves his legs laterally well. Problem is h can get outmuscled a lot. Ball even with his strong body gets outmuscled and laterally beat. He is hopeless on D.1. Start Ross (I can’t believe I’m saying this) or Stewart (hasn’t earned it). Bring Ball off the bench for a shooting lift. We can’t live with his defense and him/Mullins shooting 30 3’s a game kills any offensive flow. Having a bigger 3 thru 5 makes it harder to finish at the rim. We can’t live with Mullins and Ball’s poor on ball defense against the dribble drive.
2. Reed is gassed at the end of games. Calhoun was right, we need more Reibe not only to benefit Reibe, but to save Reed’s legs.

I’ll give you credit on Ross. We play a lot better with him or Stew in the lineup than the combination of Ball and Mullins. All it takes is a few losses for everyone to start making all the points I’ve been making from the start. Ya know, being proactive about these issues.
Was it funnier than this thread?Went to a comedy show expecting to come out to a 20+ point win. This is unfortunate.
Correct. Just part of it.Reed is not the problem.
All the legendary players at UConn and two players to win back to back championships are... ball don't lie.All the legendary players in UConn history and the record for most wins will belong too… Alex Karaban and Samson Johnson. Lol
Just doesn’t feel right man.
Me neitherThat lineup to start the second half did pretty well. Not sure why we changed it 4 minutes in.
Mullins got picked up and physically moved by 150 lb Josh Dix tonight. His lack of physicality ruins any quickness advantage he has. Against Big 12 or SEC teams it will be purely exposed.Mullins actually plays good D and moves his legs laterally well. Problem is h can get outmuscled a lot. He is the most circumstantially decorated player in UConn history. Great kid, should have bolted with the rest of the studs of 2024.
Yup - has held on to way too many of these players. I get some of it, you want to maintain "culture", but when those kids aren't the core contributors, what does it matter. May built a monster in the portal. You can let go of some of these kids to build a more balanced roster, which should be priority. I'm not even sure what Stew brings to these team as a slow 3.
I'm surprised we are only at 12 pages and hour and a half after the game. Was it funnier than this thread?
I didn't say he has issues with his lack of muscle. He does fight hard but overall he is still a better defender than Ball.Mullins got picked up and physically moved by 150 lb Josh Dix tonight. Tyler Olander also has two championships. Not to say Karaban is Olander. But yeah. All the legendary players at UConn and two players to win back to back championships are... ball don't lie.
