Hurley has had a lot of success closing the deal if he can get a kid in for a visit. And that was before winning a national championship.

We have at least as good a shot as the competition.!

Does NIL really matter here? Flagg is going to be able to make a lot of NIL money (and probably already is) from true endorsement deals. He’s not going to need a school with a slick NIL program.

I saw a list with Paige as one of the top 10 highest earning female basketball players including WNBA players, and Azzi has done a bunch. On another list, Clingan was high on merchandise sales earnings nationally. It isn't a stretch for Flagg to extrapolate that our NIL can be competitively lucrative. On the other hand, I doubt if we are directly arranging for big money signing 'bonuses'.

If he does come to UC, it might not be a good move.
He would take minutes from Karaban, be here for only 1 year, and possibly force Karaban to either transfer or leave for NBA.
Fast forwarding to 24-25, you'll be in a fix with losing Karaban, Flagg (if he comes), Castle as another 1 and done, and Klingham leaving as well. As talented as Flagg is reported to be, Karaban might be a better fit in the rotation.

Will we have reporters at Capitol Grille again? That did not work too well last time on Timberlake. I think they should take him to J. Timothy’s for Sweet Red Chili wings. He won’t forget those.

IMHO Karaban is most likely going pro after this year. Flagg or no Flagg. He could stay an extra year but I doubt he will leave UCONN for NIL elsewhere.

First cut pastrami and corned beef combo on marble rye from The Crown market. There’s got to be a recruit who would appreciate that meal. I know I do.

Alex is a really nice player and I expect he will improve based on his work ethic. I love his game but he’s a 3 year player at least I believe he’ll be back next year. No matter Flagg and he can coexist there are no worries there. If “Klingham” leaves as some believe there will be plenty of room for different lineups by 24-25.

in this particular case, would and can ESPN and Fox get involved in NIL? I am guessing EPSN would want one of the the most heralded American recruits in a long time to go to Duke, an ESPN school whereas Fox might want want him to go to a Fox school (Uconn).

It is interesting to see what we'd do. Flagg can be a small ball 5. You'd essentially have Alex, Flagg, Samson and Singare rotating across the 4-5, with Flagg and Johnson being able to play either. Alex could play a little 3 if needed, but we'll have Ross and Stewart there. I don't see any chance Clingan stays if he's a first round pick.

Of course, if Alex balls out, maybe he's gone too. Samson at 5 and Flagg at 4 would be an absolutely fascinating lineup, with incredible athleticism, shot blocking and inside-out flexibility.

If I’m doing a job i West Hartford, I’ll go to crown and grab a Dagwood wrap. I love crown wraps and Sammies.

Don’t sleep on Camden.
One time a friend and I were visiting another friend in the hospital at Cooper Medical. On the drive back guy in the car with me says "I am giving you permission to blow through any lights if you feel like it's necessary for our safety." :D (FWIW, that's not even close to being a bad area.)

On the other hand, one time in Newark I was driving to a windshield replacement place and I got a little bit lost. There was an older gentleman sitting out on his stoop so I pulled over to ask him for directions (which people actually did in the era before GPS). He gave me directions and then, almost as an afterthought, said "I suggest you get out of this neighborhood as quickly as possible. You are not safe here."

Oh, and the reason that I was getting my windshield replaced was that it was shot in a parking lot Newark. I dug the slug out of the driver seat. I think I may still have it somewhere.

You are almost certainly right- I just don't see CF having any impact on when he leaves.

Yeah. Well I'll take Ray, Rip, Caron, Emeka, Khalid, and the Marshall Bros, Adama, Jordan and AJ and you can stick your rankings where the sun don't shine... :)

You have a few very highly ranked players on that list. If your point is we’ve only needed some of our players to be absolutely top ranked, I guess I agree?
