Wiser words never spoken...The issue most people have is that these days, coaches that are good are bowl eligible in year 2 or 3. If they aren’t, it probably isn’t going to work out.

This. If Z makes his throws we are all feeling a lot better this week. Better about the players, better about the coaches, better about our prospects. I'm not saying we win, but we definitely compete.
Remember this team is @45% RS or true freshman. They are going to struggle against a good team. Hopefully not as bad as this weekend, but they definitely will struggle.
The jury is out on Z. Which kid is he, the one who looked solid but young against Illinois or over his head against Indiana? We won't learn much next week. (For those of you are a little down on the team, you might want to take next weekend off. Maybe go for a walk on the beach with the wife or something. It isn't going to be pretty.)
Im sure that UGA's recruiting budget being 1.5M more than anyone in the P5, the assistant coaching salaries of 6.5M and getting the #1 and 2 recruiting classes the last two years filled with 5 and 4 star highly developed recruits have nothing to do with that.Georgia’s team is 39.4% freshman or redshirt freshman. They seem to be handling it well.
LOL. What idiocy. Next you’ll be posting that the Patriots had 3 backup o linemen in and they still won.Georgia’s team is 39.4% freshman or redshirt freshman. They seem to be handling it well.
Weird. I mean if they can do it we should be able to, right? I wonder why we're not?Georgia’s team is 39.4% freshman or redshirt freshman. They seem to be handling it well.

1) metallic blue Block C helmet,We look better in the White unis with the blue block C helmets.

Georgia’s freshmen would whup our upperclassmen but yeah other than that spot on.
One reason teams get stuck in these ruts forever is that programs panic and make changes when they shouldn’t. Admittedly it is a judgement call too. You need to see progress. Clearly Pasqualoni has lost the team. The bobster was just a bad coach. But when you think you have a guy who is moving you in the right direction you need to hang in. Example are Cutcliffe at Duke who didn’t have a winning regular season until Year 6. Schiano who took 5 years. There are others I’m sure. There are also the quick turn around guys who occasionally work out but as often have one good year and fall back after that. Or leave and fail elsewhere or s guy like Addazio who went 9-4 in his first year at Temple but has has been consistent at BC going 7-6 every year but 1 I think. Never ever been close to that Temple year which was mainly built off a solid group assembled by Golden.

Um, maybe 5.5% makes a difference?
Or it could just be the coaches?
Or maybe we are aren't Georgia and recruit a vastly different level of kids?
Maybe the 60.6% of upperclassmen in Georgia are vastly better than the 55% of upperclassmen at UConn?

No, I am suggesting that football at Georgia is worlds different then football at Connecticut. So much so that your comparison you made is silly. But you knew that right? But UConn has a team made up of 45% freshman and red shirt freshman. That is clearly the problem. UConn fans have made that point clear. At least one of them did. Are you suggesting that poster doesn’t know what he is talking about? Or are you suggesting that 45% is much different than 39%. That would be 4 scholarship players.
Lets give SK a chance to play . We've already seen what the others can and cannot do. -Getting thrown in at end of a game does not show you anything regarding his POTENTIAL. (note all the caps)Eyes rolling
Krajewski is the ANSWER. Nite nite. Note the all caps

Nope. Trolling or reading comprehension issues? I'll give one last shot but then I'm out.So it appears that you are now saying that the reason for Uconn’s Football performance is based on the quality of the recruits, and not the fact that there are 45% who are freshmen and red shirt freshmen. That is the point that I was making. In an earlier post, you seemed to be saying that it was due to the youth of the players, and not the talent.

UConn's performance on the field is definitely impacted by the age and experience of its players, just like every other college team. It's kind of odd that you'd argue otherwise. Teams like Georgia, can better sustain themselves in years that they have a young team because 1) the players that are coming back are better and 2) the freshman are better.
That isn't a particularly earth shaking or hard to grasp concept, right?
Practically all of those 1 and 2 year players are on what passes for our 2-Deep. That's uncommon and these are developmental guys.
That seems like a lot for a team that doesn't recruit a lot of ready to play kids. Other than a stray RB, WR or DL player or a Branch type DB these young kids should not be able to crack the 2 deep. With all my HCRE2.0 issues, this really is a problem that he has to face. My problem is with his less than vanilla offensive scheme it makes it way worse on players being able to execute.According to the UConn info updated for 9/25 there are 15 freshmen and red shirt freshman on the 2-deep. The two deep that they list includes 22 offensive players and 24 defensive players(?). They make up 33% of the 2-deep.

That he isn't recruiting like Georgia. Didn't expect him to. That he didn't accomplish enough with transfers/juco, that's on him (don't know how much UConn's administration was hinderance). Should have definitely improved RB position by now, too many good guys out there to not get one or two (especially with all the open scholarships).what does that tell you about edsall’s first 1.5 classes?

Given he burned through most all players at UConn when he got there and the developmental type kids he needs to get (speed over size, potential over proven ability) really do need to give him till end of 2020 to judge recruiting classes (on the aspect of his coaching/scheme ability I continue to believe he was/is terrible pick for head coach).
That the quality of player is trending up?i meant what does the ‘depth chart’ tell you about what he thinks about the relative strengths of his ‘three’ classes?
