Agreed. Our route concepts are very basic and easy to defend.
I don’t know... I saw a lot of open receivers today.

That’s MoranSteven Krajewski took the pipe on a training wheels throw. I think you have to give Z a chance to progress. None of these guys are push button ready. Add in incompetent pass protect, the inability to run the ball and a dope for an OC and you get crappy QBs. I swear if Guifre runs another play on 3rd and short out of the pistol or does a deep handoff, I’m going to explode. For goodness sake, try a damn sneak or power formation. Moron.
Mark my words, Steven Krajewski will soon join the list of UConn QB's with an arm, who for whatever reason were not favored, and under utilized, or mishandled by their head coaches, and that went on to distinguish themselves after UConn. Mike Nebrich, Tim Boyle, Richard Lagow. I'll throw in Marvin Washington as well, although he has yet to distinguish himself elsewhere.we saw beaudry against wagner. do you think hed look better against indiana?
edsall wont play Steven Krajewski... well because you saw why on his two throws today.
So...I love the UConn daily that Silver puts out and I think he has great insight and has been a nice contributor to this board. But...he made a comment this week that Edsall needs “several years” to get his players.Progress at glacial speed.
Hire the entire staff of the next FCS champ team. We need to make a change.
Eyes rolling
Krajewski is the ANSWER. Nite nite. Note the all caps
He might not be the answer but you will never know if you don't ask the question. Krajewski has worked his butt off and deserves a chance to put the team in a position to score and not just hand off the ball during mop up time. I have a “gut feeling” that if he gets a chance he would do well.
I mean yes... we have 12 total seniors, maybe 7 that play on a good day. Yet again the key is to improve every year, which I believe we will. We arnt going to jump up to be bowl eligible in a year which seems to be an expectation of some people on here. The problem is I was lead to believe the team was really really young last year. So if we are very very young this year. Does that mean we were very very very young last year?
the other one.well youve seen all the qbs and none of them are ready so which one do you want?
The defense needed the most attention and has demonstrably and statistically improved. The offense has not but is more a product of QB development. We obviously have a ways to go. After Zerigotis’s wild flip was pick-sixed, an IU fan sitting behind me said” that guy thinks he’s Baker Mayfield only without the accuracy and the talent.”

I agree that the defense is better. And, UConn is bringing in better talent, but it is still young. Unfortunately, what is holding up the rebuilding process is QB development. The defense needed the most attention and has demonstrably and statistically improved. Let this sink in, we let up 49 points and 550 yards against URI! Last year, the lowest offensive output against UConn was 444 by UMass and second lowest was 516 yards against Temple. So far this season, we have 3 games with fewer yards allowed than our lowest total allowed from last year. You have to admit the defense is better this year than last. The players are better and the coaching is better. Heck, if UConn had any kind of offense against Indiana, they would have let up fewer points and yards.we replaced UCF and Boise State with Wagner and Illinois - let’s see if anyone notices?
provda matt isnt this silly

the defense is better - i said all off season the defense would be better and the offense would be much worse.
it’s still ridiculous to compare stats between ucf and bsu and wagner and illinois.
indiana got everything they wanted all day yesterday. they played a backup and played at a snail’s pace - they didnt bother to test the secondary down the field because they could win by 35 without taking a semblance of a risk because uconn had almost no chance to score barring a miracle.
watching uconn stand at the line for 20 seconds a play on offense is tremendous. anything to not actually try and compete.
The uniforms still look good though!
