Mora is a class act and he understands the consequences of his words. He is not going to throw any shade our way.I sure hope Mora doesn’t make a disrespectful statement about taking UConn as far as he possibly can, like Edsal did when he left. I think the realistic goal for UConn is to consistently be among the top G5 FB teams. Uconn had a very good year but I still don’t think they were at the level of teams like JMU, Memphis or USF, mainly because UConn’s defense was just not good. We’ll see how much more he can do at Colorado State.
The 9 wins have been great, but what has most impressed me with Mora is that every single time a kid got hurt -- major player, role player, twisted ankle or big injury -- Mora went out with the training staff to look after the kid. Tells you something about Jim Mora the leader and the man.
He's not a perfect coach but he's been an advocate for our players and our program and I suspect he will continue to be in the ways that he can.
