Bounce back time baby!

Some bold predictions here so listen up. It's Nebrich under center and while he does throw two INTs, he goes 14 for 27, 190 and 2 TDs - one running and one passing. He, McCombs and DJ pile up 175 yards on the ground.

Defense is a repeat of Vandy, but there are some big plays for Iowa State due to over pursuit. Sio does get his pick six.

31-24 Dogs

20-17 UConn or....30-12 ISU doubt it will be anything in between.

no way this team scores 31 points on ISU....this team struggled to score when getting a turnover in the red zone.

21-13 ISU.

24-10 Iowa St.

They have a very good defense. We could be in trouble.

I don't think they'll need to have a very good defense to look like they have one next week.

What concerns me most was during the little I did see of the Cy-Hawk game, their QB made a lot of plays on dink and dunk passes. We had a lot of trouble with this against Fordham. Hopefully we know how to stop this but didn't show it in the home opener.

Prediction: DOOOOOOOOMMMMMMEEEDDDDDDD

I like your thinking!

UConn 20
Iowa State 13

Sloppy but we come out blasting in the 4th Quarter as McEntee throws a smoooooooooooth TD to Ryan Griffin to seal and win the game. :)

You know folks, the intent here is to show some spirit. Predicting losses ......not good.

My intent is to be realistic. We can beat Iowa State, but it would be an upset.

Even after yesterday, we're still listed as 4.5 point favorites, whatever that's worth...

27-13 Iowa State. Offensive woes continue no matter who is under center. Defense gives up a couple of big plays again.

3-2 record coming out of OOC schedule.

.-.
23-21 UConn

D is pumped up from the raucous Rent crowd, forces key turnovers, and bends but doesn't break vs. Steele Jantz' passing attack. Nick Williams finally gets in gear & takes one to the house. We get an offensive TD on a short McCombs run. And Teggart nails a FG at the gun to win it.

(This is the optimistic thread, right?)

17-13 UConn

1 TD and a FG are set up directly by good field position as a result of turnovers.

24-10 ISU. no reason to think we suddenly get offense...

I'd be interested to hear from those who traveled to Nashville, was there any real "home atmosphere" there? Watching on ESPN3, it didn't seem so, and if true, I'm not sure playing at home will make that much of a difference on our offense's performance. Haven't followed Iowa State at all this year but they were able to put up some major yardage on Iowa. I'm figuring on a 26 - 13 regardless of who starts at QB for UConn.

I'm not thinking about ISU just yet, I'm still in I can't believe we gave that game away mode

by Wednesday I should be OK

It would be reassuring if we could successfully predict that the UConn offense could actually score a TD against a "Big Boy" program (sorry Fordham).
