Cincinnati game thread

UConn did come out flat. So, Geno threw in a 3/4 press and that gave them the energy they needed.

Gabby was about 5 feet away from that shooter when she took off from the floor to block the shot. Amazing

recurring shin splint issue - needs some time off to heal up, and this is a good point in the schedule to do that.

I agree. The closest analog for Gabby's game in the W is Alyssa Thomas BUT, the A-train is bigger (6-2), and stronger. Gabby is definitely a better free throw shooter (heck, I'm better than AT).

Despite her other-worldly athleticism she is a very undersized post for the W and lacks the shooting of a guard.

If I am a GM in the W, I have Kia ahead of Gabby on my draft board with the full knowledge that Gabby could make that decision look really dumb. BTW, no GM has called for my opinion so...

I have Slintv too but use the ESPN app and go to women's college basketball. All the games are there,

Shin splints. She's hurting. She hasn't been going full tilt at practice either. Geno is giving her the day off. No dog house, just a much needed rest. :)

Collier's feet are not only set well on her jumpers, they seem in a slightly different position than earlier in the season. I think her right foot is just a little further forward. I think her elbow might be a little tighter to her chest as well. Her shot in the lane also seems a little flatter.
 
Meg talking about Z on defense. What Z doesn't do consistently is body up and make the offensive player shoot over you.

Coombs not exactly earning more PT. As usual however, Kyla earning more by being consistent and playing her position.
 
Kyla with the step in to cause an offensive foul. She's basketball smart. Bent in for Coombs.
 
no need for Gabby to return and KLS deserves a second half break.........want everybody as refreshed as possible to battle a quick Louisville team
