Bama isn't getting out of Norman.Alabama has a pretty easy path to the Final. An overrated Oklahoma team & then a Cinderella Indiana team. I can see them stealing this Title.

So the 24th ranked should be in a 12 team playoff? People will always complain. I'm glad this is happening more chaos. You can go ahead and spike another dislike but I stand by what I said top 12 teams period. There is some logic to what you are saying….however, how can you decide who the top 12 teams are. Polls are a beauty contest. Computer rankings are based on human algorithms that incorporate bias. when we have bloated conferences that don’t play many meaningful out of conference games, you are never comparing apples to apples. It’s always a popularity contest.
Ohio St couldn't generate a lot of offense and couldn't run the ball against Indiana's defense. I don't see how Alabama can.Alabama has a pretty easy path to the Final. An overrated Oklahoma team & then a Cinderella Indiana team. I can see them stealing this Title.
As I noted above, half of ND's wins were against the ACC, so the standard of competition applies equally. And Miami didn't get to play BCU like ND did. They got screwed by a horrible committee, what a joke. Miami didn’t even win a confernce that was won by a team UConn beat. Don’t care about head to head when it was 13 weeks ago one team was obviously better than the other now and it wasn’t close.
It’s officially a joke won’t watch a second.
A Cinderella Indiana team? Indiana is #1 in the country, they just went undefeated, they won the Big 10, and they're 24-2 the past two seasons. Put a little respect on them, there's nothing Cinderella about them.Alabama has a pretty easy path to the Final. An overrated Oklahoma team & then a Cinderella Indiana team. You mean other than not making the CCG of a league that has 8-5 Duke as its champion?
The Csnes have 2 losses in a crummy conference. No one seems to mention that.
So UConn has a path to the CFP?
It’s expanding next year so you won’t ever see a 10-2 ND miss the playoff again.

As far as Duke goes, if last night's defense showed up vs UConn, Duke wins that game. I also don't think UVa was all that good and if they'd played Miami would've won that. This is a problem with 16-20 team conferences where you only play against half or less of the teams.

That's the thing that people should remember as they do the victory dance for ND being excluded. They finished #9 in the AP poll but are out of the playoffs. Meanwhile, the SEC got 5 teams in.If they won the AAC this year they would have. Question is, does a 12-0 UConn get an at large this year (no), because they are in the same boat as ND. So I guess we have our answer.
Please stop Miami played an easier schedule and they got beat by easier teams this wasn’t even a close argument. Freshman QB 13-14 weeks ago for ND at their place and it was obvious who the better and most dangerous team to play was as the season ended. You can hate ND but you have to be honest they were playing real good football. Miami wasn’t even in the finals in a very weak conferences that deserved no team in the tournament. Ridiculous.
They're not keeping an 11-1 team out of the Top 25.Weird people think this has anything to do with football. This is power and politics. Always has been. Otherwise they would have to constantly shift their narratives to justify their favored teams.
I'm not reading the CFP selection rules but I thought any champ had to be in the top 25. They could easily have keep JMU out of the rebranding if they really wanted ND. They didn't. ND got the bargain it agreed to, they'll get over it.
I do see a 12-0 UConn getting in if it's a 16 team, field. Your right if it's a 12-team field.I’ll never be sad to see Notre Dame miss the CFP. It’s the only thing better than seeing them get in and inevitably lose.
Miami beat ND
Bama lost to 5-7 FL St
Miami didn't make the CCG because the ACC is stupid.
Bama got in over ND because the CFP is only slight less corrupt than FIFA and got every SEC vote and every ACC vote in the room to assure this outcome happened. Having a P4 conference whose votes are needed to perpetuate this cartel left out of the game was always a non-starter.
And ND understands it.
Come on, UConn doesn't play a strong enough schedule to be in the playoff. UConn had a geat year, and I loved going to the games and watching them play, but even if UConn went 12-0 they wouldn't deserve to be in the college football playoff. I am not delusional. I Just enjoy UConn football for what it is.I do see a 12-0 UConn getting in if it's a 16 team, field. Your right if it's a 12-team field.
I think that they weren't going to penalize them for the conference championship loss if they were being compared with Miami and ND who were not playing in an extra game. It's all I can figure. I also think that they never really considered BYU as an at large team, so losing the conf champ game counts against them more. Hard to figure their thinking though. Why tf was Alabama put in with 3 losses.
A classic case of not being able to get past their name. They are one hell of a football team with an excellent coach.A Cinderella Indiana team? I'd have put ND in over Alabama. You're assuming I hate ND. I'm ambivalent. Please stop Miami played an easier schedule and they got beat by easier teams this wasn’t even a close argument. Which four top 25 teams did Bama beat? And Bama did something Miami didn’t — beat 4 teams in the final top 25. Mia beat 1.
No SEC team (see Oklahoma or Alabama) wanted to play ND in the CFP.
