I think Notre Dame is better than Miami
I don't know why you think that. I watched a couple of late season Miami games and they absolutely dominated. In the game where they beat #22 Pitt in Pgh, they looked like a top 5 team. In Miami's final four games, they outscored opponents 151-41.

The playoffs will tell the true story. Lets wait and see.
I'm not sure they will tell the full story.

Yes, there is basically zero chance Tulane or JMU can win four straight games against this competition (as Booger claimed, as his reasoning for leaving them out). I don't see how anyone could say Texas, ND or any of the other P level schools that were left out could win four straight against this competition either.

At some point what a school has earned should hold more weight than what a few 'talking heads' feel as far as who may be better.

Because they've looked better to me late in the season and I think their team was capable of winning the whole thing, I don't think Miami is capable of winning the whole thing. In Notre Dame's final four games they outscored opponents 205-52.

Alabama has a pretty easy path to the Final. An overrated Oklahoma team & then a Cinderella Indiana team. I can see them stealing this Title.

Maybe ND should have beaten Miami head to head then. Objective result vs eye test wins the day

A few things…

1. I’m glad one of ND or the ACC got screwed here. Was hoping it would be the ACC but I’ll take ND as a consolation prize. I don’t know if any of this will play a role in our future in this landscape but I love seeing the conference who is too stupid to see the logic in adding us and the school who thinks they’re better than everyone else get in a situation where one gets screwed.

2. I’m glad the committee stuck to what their job was. They could have easily stuck in all three of Bama, ND, and Miami and made idiots like Kannel happy. They didn’t and good for them. It’s good for the health of CFB that it’s possible for more than one team outside the P4 to make it. It’s likely never going to happen again but this sport is on life support for a lot of people outside of the SEC and B1G. It’s becoming minor leagues and everyone knows it. It’s good to see that other teams are given a chance.

3. Now that my second point is made, these G5 teams need to show up and prove that they deserved to be there. They can’t get blown out. They need to silence the critics.

We all know what's going to happen, they will expand the playoffs to 16 teams. The SEC will be happy cause they get even more teams in and Notre Dame will have a better shot at making it with 16 slots

At least Notre Dame was the casualty.

They got screwed by a horrible committee, what a joke. Miami didn’t even win a confernce that was won by a team UConn beat. Don’t care about head to head when it was 13 weeks ago one team was obviously better than the other now and it wasn’t close.

It’s officially a joke won’t watch a second.

Should just simply be top 12 teams period, or top 16 if you go to 16 eventually. ND did get screwed but I don't care cry me a river.
There is some logic to what you are saying….however, how can you decide who the top 12 teams are. Polls are a beauty contest. Computer rankings are based on human algorithms that incorporate bias. when we have bloated conferences that don’t play many meaningful out of conference games, you are never comparing apples to apples. It’s always a popularity contest.

Miami is far better on the line of scrimmage than ND is. Between those two teams they would also have the most dynamic player on the field in that Toney kid. And this isn't to say ND is bad, because they aren't. I just see that as a big edge between the two. None of it matters though, as the correct decision was made and all these teams that are in will have their shot at it.

So the 24th ranked should be in a 12 team playoff? People will always complain. I'm glad this is happening more chaos. You can go ahead and spike another dislike but I stand by what I said top 12 teams period.

Ohio St couldn't generate a lot of offense and couldn't run the ball against Indiana's defense. I don't see how Alabama can.

As I noted above, half of ND's wins were against the ACC, so the standard of competition applies equally. And Miami didn't get to play BCU like ND did.

As far as Duke goes, if last night's defense showed up vs UConn, Duke wins that game. I also don't think UVa was all that good and if they'd played Miami would've won that. This is a problem with 16-20 team conferences where you only play against half or less of the teams.
