Nice bench player and has a role, but Cuse (and any one else for that matter) will let him shoot all day and take their chances. We need you Jeremy!

He won't play against non zone teams, he can distribute better than AO out of the high post, but yes, he's an awful offensive player and probably makes that 12 foot jumper 2-8 times and needs to make it 5 or more.

I thought TO had a nice day rebounding 8 boards. Oriakhi and Smith had 5 combined.

No way can you pin the loss on TO, how long did the team go without making a basket toward the end of the game?

Not saying he didnt play hard and contribute, but no way should he be taking more shots than jeremy. We have to get the ball to our playmakers! (down the stretch when it matters- even Calhoun saw that Olander got nervous on that key jumper he missed at the end.)

Those plays for Tyler where designed perfectly. He just didn't hit the shot. Next year he will be solid.

The bigger thing here IMO is that Jeremy needs to be the/a guy flashing to the middle of the zone far more often. He is unbelievable there and forces a zone to do more than they can handle. Tyler had that shot down last season, but it has escaped him this year. Still, we are tournament scary.

Lamb has got to make himself available. Drummond should have gone up and slammed that one in rather than pass to Olander anyway.

December Olander made all of those 12-17 footers... Unfortunately, January, February and March Olander has not made them.... He's still our best passer amongst the big men, is decent rebounding and will be around for the next two years.... he's a solid player who will destroy that zone the next two years... If AO or Roscoe would step up and be able to hit a 15 footer, he probably wouldn't be in the game, but besides lamb, he's probably our best option there....

still a bit disappointed lamb wasn't at the high post alot, despite his ability to hit the 3 ball... you figure in a game where he goes ghost and they hedge to his side with the zone that putting him in the middle to get touches would be a great idea.... he can catch and hit a fadeaway or use his floater going to the hoop..... 3's don't do any good if you never touch the ball or can't get them off....

We are a shooting challenged team period. Sometimes we can overcome this but Roscoe, Boatright and Tyler were awful today shooting wise.

don't forget bazz and AO.... drummond and lamb were really the only decent shooting games... and giffey who hit his only 3... haha (maybe he should have taken a few more?)

Houdini needs to be visible the whole game. TO had a decent game, but perhaps Giffey should have been there or even JL.

Olander's open below the foul line for a reason, inconsistency. He has flaws. Last year Jamal Coombs-McDaniel did that for us, breaking the zone

The problem was that they only respected Lamb. When he went into the middle, they collapsed before we could get him the ball. They're main goal was to take away Lamb. And they did.

A zone makes iso nearly impossible if you don't have the handle to split the defenders consistently. Kemba had it; Lamb doesn't.

TO has been our best player facing zones. He is always active cutting to the middle and setting screens. Not sure why he is being singled out, no one is asking him to play like a 5 star player. I'm glad he's on our team because he was a busy body today.

TO and RS were a combined 2-13.

Of course, I was in a meeting.

Tyler has hardly had any minutes for quite some time. I agree his misses hurt us, but he could be a really important contributor in the tournament. If he and Roscoe and Giffey could play more relaxed, they would shoot a whole lot better.

Wow. Calling out TO - the guy was all over the place today. He was all over the ball. Him and Niels both have a good nose for the ball, and they're both players who don't stop moving. Maybe it's a white-guy thing - you're not going to out-leap them, or out-quick them, so you might as well out work them.

Let me put it this way - if TO hits 2 of the short jumpers he missed, every single poster in this thread would be calling him the player of the game. Kid led the team in assists with 4 (only 12 for the team total, OUCH), and was second with boards with 8, with only 1 foul and one TO. He did his part, plus some. Get your heads out of your asses, hater buttheads.

Tyler was a -15 when on the court in 26 minutes. Cuse 41-26

his plus minus is horrific every time I look at such

shot 2 of 7, and I think all 7 were wide open bunnies

Plus minus is obviously a bunch of crap just watch the game.........Tyler was fine, he rebounded the ball, is 3X the passer either Roscoe or Alex are and he worked hard. Alex was in foul trouble, Roscoe was in Storrs the last 2 games what are our options. Tyler did fine and anyone seeing anything other than that just doesn't want him to!!

so his plus minus is the team's worse game after game after game, and you think it's just a bunch of crap? I don't

I think it's a lot more than that. When he's in the game, we're losing ground.

You might have had solid ground to stand your argument on in a few games this year yesterday was NOT one of them. Would you like to tell me what the other 4 guys did while he was in the game yesterday?? After all there were 5 guys out there most of the time unless of course you count the 13 minutes Roscoe played where we seemingly had 4...........

Roscoe was +4 in 13 minutes, FWIW

I think what may not be so easy to identify when different players are on the court is team defense. I believe our defense takes a giant step backwards with TO on the court. There has to be a reason his plus minus is always so bad.

IDK for sure, IDK why, but it is.

here's the cite if you don't have it. Just find the box score for any game and you'll find the +/-
