Yes I have said on here that hes our best player if he can figure some things out, but I’ve noticed he’s been making even more mistakes lately. It’s definitely BBIQ. But I give him and Aidan time. I think they will be better and more sure of themselves next year. They both can be key pieces next year, this year it will be unpredictable with the both of themI don’t think it’s the engine per se, more a lack of basketball IQ which isn’t ideal with the sets we run. Heck Danny all but said it in that behind the scenes look before the season saying Tarris is in La La Land half the time even during the team softball game.
Sanigo had the best footwork around. That was coaching and work but it was also physical ability to do it.Don’t overthink think this. Sanogo WANTED very much to be the best player he could be and worked harder than anyone to become that player. Reed? Without knowing him, I don’t think he has the motor needed.
Offseason(doesn't help now), Tarris can drilled to death. Footwork drills with and without the ball, with and without a defender. Work until he falls down. He'll be the best he can be.Sanigo had the best footwork around. That was coaching and work but it was also physical ability to do it.
I think @temery got a cease-and-desist letter from Fox News and changed the thread titleThanks Yard, thread was to be titled "The Five", don't know where it went.
The consensus from reading all your reponses is that Reed needs time, of which he has another 1.25 years.
The bottom line is that we need him now(or very soon). Hope he can engage and level up!
On to "The Hall".
I think @temery got a cease-and-desist letter from Fox News and changed the thread title
Those are all reasonable and thoughtful points.Who remembers our complaints during Sanogo's soph year?
-Never passes
-Stop fading away
-Assess before you dribble
-Arms never straight up
- WHY WONT HE DUNK THE BALL!?!?
Also, let's remember how much the 2023 team grew up between the end of January and beginning of April.
Expecting Reed to be Sanogo is just silly....but expecting Reed to be in top form in early February is also silly.
He was let down at his old school. We all see the potential(and the few great games), but it's going to take some time for the consistency to mold.
Reed came here because he wanted Hurley to push him hard. If Hurley can't get it out of him, no coach will...
Fox was on their game, or are you serious
