Hate to say it, but kids love that these days. Whether that sways a decision in any way is probably up to the individual kid on a case by case basis.

It's all about ego for a lot of these kids. Social media + AAU is a powerful drug.

If I said something like "UConn did not recruit multiple McDonald's All-Americans in every single year of Calhoun's tenure," my guess is you would still be howling like the little baby you are.

Herbst talked to them prior to the game thanking them for being there and said unfortunately we are having a rough season and the game was going to be difficult. Both didn't seem overly enthusiastic being at the game.
