Could see Barrett and/or Bagley going to Duke. Would cover them at the 3 and 4. Also, Shittu crystal ball is going heavy to Kentucky today, and he is a similar player to Reddish as well. Zion Williamson could also be UK bound as well. If those guys got to Duke and UK and that spurns Reddish from those schools then I honestly don't hate our chances vs Nova and UCLA.Barrett choosing Duke or Kentucky would be a boost here.
Drummond was a top 5 player for sure - reclass or not.You make it sound like UConn has closed multiple top 10 guys in recent years. Rudy was our last one in '04...
Nobody is overhyping making his top 5, but it's certainly noteworthy and good to see.
I don't usually spend much time on package deals - but there have been some whispers.Mathis retweeted his top 5... did someone say package deal?!?!?![]()

Your really wrong on that one.Daniel Hamilton and Drummond were both top 10 in the same year....and plenty more.
I'm not saying top 5-10 that have committed to us, but simply putting us in there "top 5" that so many of these kids like to do....
We are (were) UConn. We should be on at least 80% of "top 5" every year.
I think he means Deandre Daniels. Rivals actually did have him at #10 in the 2011 class (Rivals.com). Nobody else had him that high.Show me where Hamilton was ever top 10.
The same year? Uh, no.

Think everyone with a Twitter should start Tweeting stuff at him. May be stupid but showing all the support from UConn could be just a small thing to make a kid feel really wanted and realize he can be part of a school that not only produces great players but wins championships. Tweet him and give him a reason why UConn should be it. Lose nothing by trying!
Nova, but yeah.the only school.. outside the p5.

No aneurysm ..........those 4 schools are nice company to keep.....depends on what the kid wants for his one year, hard to beat Duke / KY for 1 & done's but that rule may change soon. Our program has really reached mid major status when we are having an aneurism over making a top 10 recruits "top 5"

Yeah, for whatever reason my brain messed up and I put nova in the P5. My point is the same, they're two years off of a championship and consistently make deep runs.
You know - Reddish has spoken very highly of Ollie for awhile now. I said awhile back that at some point it wouldn't surprise me if a top guy just falls in love with Ollie and really connects with him. I'm not saying we're a front runner by any means, but glad we've gotten this far. Hope we can reel this kid in.
Lets hope that's the case here . I sat next to Reddish and his mom (unaware at the time) at the senior day game vs cinci last year. Herbst talked to them prior to the game thanking them for being there and said unfortunately we are having a rough season and the game was going to be difficult. Both didn't seem overly enthusiastic being at the game.
I just can't see him not going to Duke
Consistently?
Since 2010, they went out in the first weekend 6 times.
Since 1990, Villanova has only made it to the second weekend 3 times. 3!!!!
I don't see how they are any different from UConn. In fact, since 2010, UConn has made deep runs 2x, Villanova only once.
Nothing new, we are always in this position. Need to seal the deal with some of these kids.
I'm satisfied with just being in him and simi's top 5. It proves we are still relevant
