We're so close to $10,000.

Someone give us $145 and put this to bed. Or a bunch of people give smaller amounts that somehow add up to $145. Somehow, someway, $145.

If one person does it, that person will be named The Boneyard Special Boy of the Day.

That is freaking prestigious.

Not only do you get to tell people that you are the Boneyard Special Boy of the Day, but you get to use any HOV lane in the eastern United States with only one person in the car. (If you're stopped, just yell that you are a Special Boy and then take off.)

Seriously, $145 and we will leave all of you alone forever.

Did we cover it? If not, send me the link. You better not be duck*ing around with that HOV perk! :-)

We did it.

"Jason" is the Boneyard Very Special Boy of the Day.

Thank you, Jason. You can use the HOV lanes and you can ignore stop signs and stop lights for the rest of the weekend. Just leave your windows down and keep yelling that you are a very special boy and other motorists and law enforcement will give you the wide berth that you deserve.

Well, by "leave all of you alone forever", I actually meant "until the next time".

What? George Blaney just retired? By God, we'll honor him with a gall bladder pump or something.

Mr Magoo film festival should suffice.

If we got a life-sized cardboard cut-out of him to put on the sidelines, I wonder how long it would take people to notice.

Dammit. I still have donations coming through. I think I'm going down to see that dude who promised 500 next weekend.I'm so fun-hating angry I could spit. It's an unwritten ironclad rule that if you pledge, you pay. Period. I WILL shake it out of him. Fishy's "we" did NOT include me.

Also, a couple of rich retirees are giving me something. Probably 50 cents.

Not going to lie, I wanted to be the one to put us over that top. I'm competitive. But I am happy we got there. Kudos to Jason.

$11,000 on tap.

I received another $40 and will add it later...

and congrats Jason.

My brother, also a Boneyarder, is sending in a donation, too.

In a surprise move, the McPhee team has shot up and passed Cigna for first place. That was a huge jump. Good for them and for the Cancer fund.

I do not want to start any ugliness between the two groups, but I have it on good authority that the McPhee twits are recording their donations in Pesos - they've actually only collected $22.73 USD.

I'll give you ugliness. I just got another $40, but frankly, it smells. Frickin' people retired to Hawaii on Oil money, you think they could've at least ponied up a couple hundred. Yes, I'm making fun of donors. That's my way. Squeeze til they bleed.

[nb: 40 bucks is nothing to sneeze at. it's just that from this particular couple, of ridiculously considerable means, whose lifelong friend past away from cancer.....I expected something a little different. yes I'm an . no need to say it.]
