When you are playing home football games on "neutral" fields for $1.3M, $300k is a lot of money for a guy working full time at another school - except it's Jim Calhoun and he deserves that deal.What's the hold-up? Is it because UConn doesn't want to pay him as much (or at all) if he takes the gig?

Yes, Dove needs to get his degree. Once that happens, some good things can happen. My guess is that's the larger point Coach was making. Dove hasn't exactly been on an accelerated academic program to date.
