BYU Post Game Thread

I think we took our foot off the gas a little bit, but I think people are massively overreacting to that 2nd half. BYU is a very good team. If the roles were reversed and made a big comeback in the 2nd half I don't think we'd be saying it was because BYU stopped trying
In March, when it matters, it will be a Quad 1 win at a neutral site.

Never should’ve been this close. Yea, we beat a top 10 team, but that team didn’t play a starter and their big was out of commission early in the game. Yes, we are down Mullins, so that can somewhat of a wash…

I dislike blowing a 20 point lead. Very bad finish to this game, but happy with the dub no matter what
Braylon Mullins is worth more than a K. Davus

They switched me off as well here in South Carolina. We've got our own Heidi Game - just like the Raiders game 57 years ago. I screamed from here. I'm sure you guys in New England heard me. We ought to put Dave Benedict on this so it doesn't happen again.
If you had the sound on the announcers literally said if you're in South Carolina or LA you're about to get switched to the women's basketball game and here's how to keep watching this game

We just beat a top 10 team in game 4 of the season, I'd say our players are ready for prime time
Missing their best big for most of the game and another starter for dui. Whatever, we had a couple of guys not step up at all and it’s a problem.

Dybansta is absolutely nasty and has no business playing in the NCAA. Most pro ready freshman I’ve seen in a while.

Having gotten that out of my system. A great win against a top 10 team. Missed a few opportunities for the kill shot that I expect we will learn to hit as the season goes along. There’s a lot of talent here and a lot of heart. Proud of the boys for hanging on tonight and hope we take it to Arizona.

Holy crap, they cut off the last 10 minutes in South Carolina to put on their women’s game. Thanks for the agitation!
Yeah. That pissed me off. I finally got it going in the app with 5:00 to play.

Yet it continues to work. I understand it's frustrating to watch, but there's a reason Dan Hurley keeps doing it
It went from an 18 point lead to a two point win. That’s not my definition of working—-what we do before we slow down the offense is what I consider what is working well, not what we do when the offense slows down intentionally.

We beat a top-10 team with the likely #1 pick going off in crunch time. I’ll take that in game 4. Of course we have things to work on but I’ll never understand the fans who can’t see any positives with this team.

forgettable games from Stewart and Ball
yes. it is clear that Ross is ahead of Stewart. I don’t understand why Stewart can’t hit his stride. He needs look at himself in mirror and say “I am going to be a great player and nothing is gonna stop me”. He needs to figure how to make games like this not happen.

The starting 5 of AK, Tarris, SD, Solo and Mullins has to be the most firepower in college. The first half defense has nice and I think where we can get to with this group. We found out tonight that Silas is a championship PG. By far the most important result other than the win.

It's hard to describe our three year players. There's not a complete player among them, and that is frustrating. You just hope Solo puts it all together, Ross continues to improve and flash, and JStew I'm not sure about...I'm not sure if we are going to get any more than what he's shown at this point.

We were lucky that freshman took awhile to heat up. Better to be lucky than good.

A tough game to watch in the 2nd half.

BYU took advantage of the officiating and dwindled our lead by slowing the ball down, driving the ball, and drawing fouls.

I think the refs would have done the same for us, but our offense is clearly a set offense with lots of cutting/screening that doesn't draw as many fouls.

The J.Stewart experiment should be over.

Ross came up much bigger tonight.

I was going to give Stewart a lot of credit for some good defense in the 1st half, but clearly Dybantsa was not that engaged in that half.

Not to say we have anybody that could slow Dybantsa the 2nd half, but Stewart didn't contribute anything the 2nd half, other than a easy dunk.

If you're getting toasted on D, at least get some buckets to offset that.

Getting Mullins back will help a great deal.

That was a tough watch, the last 10 minutes or so. Need to do a better job of breaking the switching on and off.

Just glad to get that win
