Xavier up 10 still and they are down their best shooter Nate Johnson, out for the season. At least that makes are Xavier win more impressive if they can hold on.

yeah but we also don't want them making a last second push to fight for 3rd place.
 
Xavier gets robbed on a bad 4th foul by Kolby Jones and now only lead by 4 with under 4 to go. Going to be a exciting finish.
 
Xavier up 6 with the ball and under a minute. Creighton is so overrated.

RJ hits those FTs and we don't blow that St. John's game and discussions about seed make perfect sense. We'd be slotted in at 4/5 right now with a shot to jump up to 3 with a good BET run.

Oh well.

We're still at 28 on KenPom, although our AdjEM went down .04 with the X win/Creighton loss. Creighton drops from 13 to 16, Xavier rises from 62 to 57.
 
Does anyone have access to the Bubble Watch for ESPN? Normally in years past it’s been free but now they charge you to access. I liked the way they used to layout who’s a lock, should be in, work to do, etc. I’m curious where they put UConn.

Unfortunately we’ve had halves where we looked like we didn’t even belong near the bubble nevermind in the dance. They have to keep winning to assure anything these days with the way these committees vote and think.

ok, i'll bite. how exactly does 'the way these committees vote and think' think?
personally, and with zero inside knowledge, i know that the ncaa folks are getting calls from their media partners sounding in 'get that UConn kid on the tube. he's electric...'
and, howz our backcourt doing nowadays?

Seems like we are on the right side of the bubble. I think the seton hall game is huge because if we lose we will probably end up in that 8/9 range making a deep run difficult. With a win and a get towards the 6 spot where we can have a much more manageable path to the sweet 16.

Win the last 2 and 2 in the BE tourney we can get out of the 8-9 game or worst scenario I believe. But lose one of the last 2 and the first one in the tourney we're gone.
 
Just keep winning with Bouk.

UConn is in with a reasonable finish.

Winning with Bouk solidifies the case for seeding that UConn is a much better team with him.
