Rhetorical question. How will he be able to turn Dan Hurley down after all the unbelievable positive media about him this past week? Was just about to post this - sounds like he’s ready to schedule … I’m guessing the coach being here is a major part of the equation.
Right. Maybe he will self-reflect , assuming Dan Hurley comes back, as follows:Rhetorical question. How will he be able to turn Dan Hurley down after all the unbelievable positive media about him this past week?
I know there's other schools out there but if Dan Hurley comes back he'd sure have a major halo around his head for some time to come.
On the flip side what happened the last few days could place doubt in a recruit's mind as to whether Hurley will be here long. You know other coaches will be using it against UConn.Rhetorical question. How will he be able to turn Dan Hurley down after all the unbelievable positive media about him this past week?

In the age of free transfers, the UConn staff should be able to ease any of those concernsOn the flip side what happened the last few days could place doubt in a recruit's mind as to whether Hurley will be here long. You know other coaches will be using it against UConn.
That's a good point. I could see Jon Scheyer and others needing to do that if Dan Hurley starts getting guys who normally focused solely on their "dream" schools. You know, the schools and coaches who "put players in the NBA".............even though they would be in the NBA if I were their coach. On the flip side what happened the last few days could place doubt in a recruit's mind as to whether Hurley will be here long. And it won’t work.
Scheyer - “Hurley is being linked to NBA teams. You don’t know if he’s going to be there next year or in two years.”
Hurley - “I turned down Kentucky and the Lakers within a month of each other to stay at UCONN. Foot Stays On Gas.”
Scheyer - "I'll be here. You can be sure no NBA team will never want me as their coach."
"Duke probably won't even want me by the time you're a sophomore."
Follow-up tweet said we are one of several other schools being considered for a visit. Want me to be first to say it?
Do it. Worked for HurleyFollow-up tweet said we are one of several other schools being considered for a visit. Want me to be first to say it?
Did that guy get canned?Yes, yes I am.
(Or alternatively, I am saying they adjusted about as well as Nick Charlton did last year after the first set of downs.)
Love you Zionn but you Nexted Hurley to the Lakers so not sure I can put as much stock in these anymore…Follow-up tweet said we are one of several other schools being considered for a visit. Want me to be first to say it?
Debatable. The party line is he moved on to the NFL. Which he did.Did that guy get canned?
That list says homebody. All of those are a reasonable drive from where he lives. Nothing wrong with that.we out?
I recall that. Made me think of Coach Calhoun after the '99 championship - I believe he said that he and the staff had begun scouting 4 top teams from the start of the year, in case they ended up facing them in the tournament. One of the four was Duke.Think it was the Xavier coach who, with a shell shocked look on his face, said in the post game interview that there really isn't adequate time to prepare with a team like Uconn because of the myriad of plays, options and players. I think he just said that Uconn could overwhelm you with all their talent and possibilities. And he is one of the better coaches around.
Should probably correct the title of the thread to "not visiting 6/24"
