Again...the plan for how Georgetown/Villanova/Marquette/Providence fill these gigantic arenas for conference games against Seton Hall, Creighton, DePaul, Xavier is...what exactly?

The visiting fans of Syracuse, Louisville and UConn filled those arenas. This is going to be a massive problem for them, just as much as UConn has to be worried about home games against SMU and Houston. You cannot fill NBA arenas when the big names on the conference schedules are small, private schools that are not within a car ride. In the case of the Big East, that's HALF THE CONFERENCE.

The difference is that most UConn fans are aware of these challenges, while PC/SHU/St. John's are all excited for a conference that's the answer to a question NO ONE asked.

Creighton has already bought more BE tourney packages than 'Cuse. Only G'town plays in an NBA arena. SHU and DePaul weren't sell outs last year. Butler, X, Creighton will draw. Not as well as Cuse, UCONN and L'Ville; but it wasn't our choice. Pretty sure Cuse, G'Town and PC will have bigger numbers than SMU, Tulane and Houston

Kind of like Andrew Bynum....

Bynum entered the draft before the NBA changed its rules regarding draft eligibility that a player had to be one year removed from high school before entering the draft. Bynum never went to UConn and never had the opportunity to play. Ledo did go to Providence, but did not have the opportunity to play because of eligibility issues. Bynum never took up one of our scholarships. Ledo did take up one of PC's scholarships.

Seanmc94, you should not post on this board. Not because your a troll, not because your team's arena is named after a donut shop, not because you should be embarrassed about bashing a team who has won a national championship one out of every five years for the last fifteen years and only had one "one and done" player, not because your team routinely fails to qualify for the NCAA tournament. YOU SHOULDN'T POST HERE BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT *%K YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT AND YOU'RE EMBARRASSING THE ENTIRE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND YOU STUPID @SS CLOWN.

How about using Temple, Memphis and Louisville?

That's not much history to go on over the last 30 or 40 years or so.

This statement is so factually inaccurate, I don't even know where to start.

You mean a school bought more ticket packages when the building was divided 10 times than when it was divided 16 times? WELL KNOCK ME OVER WITH A FEATHER!

I was at the A-10 Tournament in Brooklyn last year. St. Louis had a very good team. Small, private school. The kind of school that PC and SHU dream to associate with.

They had the second-smallest fanbase out of the eight teams who played. And they had the best team!

Meanwhile, VCU packed the place. Packed. The building was overrun.

I'll grant you that it's closer for VCU than for St. Louis...but one school had 300 fans and one had 3,000.

Oh boy, another 100-post thread coming up about PC!

I'm still waiting for someone on here to explain to me why a mid-major gets so much discussion on this board. Makes absolutely no sense.

This could cost them a number 4 seed in the NIT.

I've been lurking all pre-season and finally made an account so I could like this comment. Laughed at my keyboard.

Come on now, Providence basketball does some very important things. For instance, every time one of their home games is televised, people in New England are reminded of the existence of Dunkin' Donuts. Without PC, we'd just forget about it and nobody would have any munchkins to bring to the break room at work.

You are like the guy who struts onto a court talking smack and throws an airball first attempt. You lack clarity in your thoughts and posts, you are a piss poor writer, and you say things that are entirely devoid of a factual basis. On this thread alone, you disparage multiple alumni in defense of LaDonte Henton, seriously? You say KO has an 0fer last year? 20 wins, and a couple against PC I might add. You should know when you're out classed and go back to the PC board where your level of intellect and writing skills will be tolerated based on the lack of anything meaningful to write about.

I think you're giving sean way too much credit.

He would never make it onto the court to begin with.

When those 2,000 Creighton fans lose to say, Villanova or whomever in the first round, I wonder if they're going to stick around for the semis and finals. And better yet, are they going to take the same chance again next year?

Most of us have been to the BET countless times. We know what the makeup of the fanbases are. Your saviors are not coming from Omaha, Nebraska. Ain't happening.

Instead, your best bet is that the league catches fire and Seton Hall and St. John's become very big deals. If that happens, the tourney will have some juice.

Ahhh... did I hurt your feeling when I mocked PC on that board?

So sorry. At least you have the NIT.
