It is amazing that a PC thread has 64 replies. It's getting pretty strange around here.

Nothing amazing about it. Thread started and fueled by MULTIPLE uconn fans. Happens every time. For a program you guys claim to not care about; you are pretty dialed in.

Methinks thou doth protest to much...

This is why I'm glad Wolf decided to leave the team...not easy to root for guys like that.

It's almost the exact same situation as Ben Gordon absent the punch in the face. Did you not root for him anymore? In regards to Henton, she destroyed his TV, he destroyed her phone. Boy girl drama, happens in all walks of life. Not sure we have to dump on any of these kids about any of it. Now physical violence to a woman is reprehensible, but short of that passionate arguments happen all the time. Being in a dorm assures that people will know about it. Donny McGrath pushed a woman in his room.

Each of our programs have had their share of knuckleheads. Ollie and Cooley have very very short ropes when it comes to any irresponsible behavior it seems.

Gordon slapped a girl after she slapped him. Never got word of what went down with Wolf. Your earlier comment about Olander being a jackarse and being let off easy was off target, since Olander wasn't drunk at the time (which is why the DUI was dropped).

I know in Gordon's case, he was hit first, and he slapped the girl, not punched. Big difference there. Not saying he didn't make a huge mistake, and that it doesn't make me uncomfortable, but I still root for him, and still rooted for him then. My original comment was more with how strongly sean came down on wolf.

By the way, according to reports, Henton threw his girl to the floor and punched her. So a little different than just smashing her cell phone. And I'm not saying any group of fans should tell another how they should or shouldn't root for players on their team. Just get annoyed when fans from either side are hypocritical. And I see plenty of it on this board and when I browse your board every so often, so not singling out a certain fanbase.

Yep, it sucks to have those announcers and to be promoted during every game of one of the highest rated WS ever. Enjoy Tim Welsh, been there done that.

You mean the second-lowest rated WS ever? The one that just ended?

Seems like our plan b and c guys usually turn out better than the guys we end up missing out on every year.

I didn't say squat about Wolf. The initial reports were way off base in the Henton report. I still don't root for Henton.

NIT! NIT! NIT!

I think you guys are still on a manic high off your dream season.

Again...the plan for how Georgetown/Villanova/Marquette/Providence fill these gigantic arenas for conference games against Seton Hall, Creighton, DePaul, Xavier is...what exactly?

The visiting fans of Syracuse, Louisville and UConn filled those arenas. This is going to be a massive problem for them, just as much as UConn has to be worried about home games against SMU and Houston. You cannot fill NBA arenas when the big names on the conference schedules are small, private schools that are not within a car ride. In the case of the Big East, that's HALF THE CONFERENCE.

The difference is that most UConn fans are aware of these challenges, while PC/SHU/St. John's are all excited for a conference that's the answer to a question NO ONE asked.

Win. That's all there is and it's really only about that. Historically PC has drawn very well when they win. 15-20 years of losing required help from opposing fan bases to fill the arena. If they don't win then the arenas will be half filled, win and they will be filled.

Creighton has already bought more BE tourney packages than 'Cuse. Only G'town plays in an NBA arena. SHU and DePaul weren't sell outs last year. Butler, X, Creighton will draw. Not as well as Cuse, UCONN and L'Ville; but it wasn't our choice. Pretty sure Cuse, G'Town and PC will have bigger numbers than SMU, Tulane and Houston

Kind of like Andrew Bynum....

Bynum entered the draft before the NBA changed its rules regarding draft eligibility that a player had to be one year removed from high school before entering the draft. Bynum never went to UConn and never had the opportunity to play. Ledo did go to Providence, but did not have the opportunity to play because of eligibility issues. Bynum never took up one of our scholarships. Ledo did take up one of PC's scholarships.

Seanmc94, you should not post on this board. Not because your a troll, not because your team's arena is named after a donut shop, not because you should be embarrassed about bashing a team who has won a national championship one out of every five years for the last fifteen years and only had one "one and done" player, not because your team routinely fails to qualify for the NCAA tournament. YOU SHOULDN'T POST HERE BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT *%K YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT AND YOU'RE EMBARRASSING THE ENTIRE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND YOU STUPID @SS CLOWN.

How about using Temple, Memphis and Louisville?

That's not much history to go on over the last 30 or 40 years or so.

This statement is so factually inaccurate, I don't even know where to start.

You mean a school bought more ticket packages when the building was divided 10 times than when it was divided 16 times? WELL KNOCK ME OVER WITH A FEATHER!

I was at the A-10 Tournament in Brooklyn last year. St. Louis had a very good team. Small, private school. The kind of school that PC and SHU dream to associate with.

They had the second-smallest fanbase out of the eight teams who played. And they had the best team!

Meanwhile, VCU packed the place. Packed. The building was overrun.

I'll grant you that it's closer for VCU than for St. Louis...but one school had 300 fans and one had 3,000.

YOU'RE EMBARRASSING THE ENTIRE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND YOU STUPID @SS CLOWN.

He's embarrassing Providence Plantations, too.

lol.

Oh, math.

Hey skippy,

Show me one post where I bashed the program.
Until then....sssssssssshhhhhhhh

Oh boy, another 100-post thread coming up about PC!

I'm still waiting for someone on here to explain to me why a mid-major gets so much discussion on this board. Makes absolutely no sense.
