Bowl Thread (Non-UConn)

I still think Alabama is a better team than Indiana or SMU.
Even if you believe that - still no reason why a 3 loss team goes to the playoffs. IMO this simply means that those who got in simply had an easier path to get in but do you truly believe any of those teams should have been in the play-offs. and if not then why have a 12 team play-off or rather why not let it play out for a few seasons b4 anyone states that the system is broken. Imagine if super-bowl 1 had been a blow-out, maybe the calls to stop the AFC and the NFC from continuing this experiment would have been answered with a super-bowl never going on. And how many years did we super bowls that were lop-sided. THE 1985-86 Season where the Bears met the Patriots. Should we say - super-bowls are bad. Now we see signs of NFL refs fixing games. Oh there are deniers but the calls that get called or simply missed, could be intentional to keep the games within the gambling point spreads. I don't know but if we are going to talk hyperbole lets go FULL CONSPIRACY - LOL! :)

I don't know why Penn state isn't just running the ball.

Catastrophic penalty on Boise cost them a TD. Uphill battle for them and they can't get Jeanty loose.

The moment has just seemed too big for Boise. Penn St is letting them hang around but it has no business being this close after all the mistakes they've made

Should be a one-score game. Can't believe Boise's kicker choked twice. Boise has been moving the ball well, and Jeunty is finally getting some chunks. But looks like Boise is gonna run out of time. They've represented the G5 well.

Their D has been playing their tails off since the 1st qtr fiasco - they've just left too many pts on the board.

Penn St TD - ball game.

Score is not representative of the game. At the end of the day, the talent disparity was too much for Boise but they showed they belong.

Does this price disparity make any sense to anyone here?

I knew this post was going to be here.

Still think the Pitt win was a good one for SMU? Or maybe Pitt just wasn’t that good?

Anyway…playing in the reliaquest bowl isn’t the same as playing in the playoffs. i don’t follow Bama…so i have no idea what their roster is today versus what it could have been.

That being said…let’s see how this game finishes out before claiming victory on the SMU and Indiana deserve their playoff selection over Alabama debate.

Could it be that the game is in New Orleans?
There was a lot of injuries and deaths, I imagine people are concerned about another attack. The reality is that any public event can be a target, but you cannot let terrorists control our lives.

Looks like they have decided to move the Sugar Bowl to tomorrow.

Needless to say, security will be extra-tight.
