That is how it used to work. I don’t know if the rule is still in effect but for a long time two year religious missions suspended the running of any clocks on eligibility.
Religious Missions and Military service. Still in effect to my knowledge.

Alabama - 10 plays, 3 turnovers.

Michigan - 37 yards total offense, 2 FGs, 1 TD.

13-0 and hilarious.

EDIT a minute later:
43 yards offense, 3 FGs, 1 TD

16-0 and still hilarious.

End of first quarter, Alabama -2 yards offense. Yeah, they should've been in the CFP, lol.

I knew this post was going to be here.

Still think the Pitt win was a good one for SMU? Or maybe Pitt just wasn’t that good?

Anyway…playing in the reliaquest bowl isn’t the same as playing in the playoffs. i don’t follow Bama…so i have no idea what their roster is today versus what it could have been.

That being said…let’s see how this game finishes out before claiming victory on the SMU and Indiana deserve their playoff selection over Alabama debate.

I still think Alabama is a better team than Indiana or SMU.
I'm very confident that Alabama wasn't a better team than Tennessee and Tennessee was embarrassed every bit as much as SMU and Indiana. Tennessee also was matched against a lesser opponent (per seeding) than SMU or Indiana faced.

Regardless of what the SEC as a conference or Alabama individually want people to believe, there should be consequences to multiple losses and at some point more deserving needs to take precedence over what some may try to spin as better.

You're bending so far backwards to make an unsupportable point, you should be able to kiss your own ass by now.

Nothing on the end of the Louisville-Washington game? UW scored late to get within 1, elected to go for 2 for the W rather than kicking and going to OT. DB made a great play, tipped away what looked like an open pass. Gambling did not pay off this time.

Even if you believe that - still no reason why a 3 loss team goes to the playoffs. IMO this simply means that those who got in simply had an easier path to get in but do you truly believe any of those teams should have been in the play-offs. and if not then why have a 12 team play-off or rather why not let it play out for a few seasons b4 anyone states that the system is broken. Imagine if super-bowl 1 had been a blow-out, maybe the calls to stop the AFC and the NFC from continuing this experiment would have been answered with a super-bowl never going on. And how many years did we super bowls that were lop-sided. THE 1985-86 Season where the Bears met the Patriots. Should we say - super-bowls are bad. Now we see signs of NFL refs fixing games. Oh there are deniers but the calls that get called or simply missed, could be intentional to keep the games within the gambling point spreads. I don't know but if we are going to talk hyperbole lets go FULL CONSPIRACY - LOL! :)

I don't know why Penn state isn't just running the ball.

Catastrophic penalty on Boise cost them a TD. Uphill battle for them and they can't get Jeanty loose.
The moment has just seemed too big for Boise. Penn St is letting them hang around but it has no business being this close after all the mistakes they've made

Should be a one-score game. Can't believe Boise's kicker choked twice. Boise has been moving the ball well, and Jeunty is finally getting some chunks. But looks like Boise is gonna run out of time. They've represented the G5 well.

Their D has been playing their tails off since the 1st qtr fiasco - they've just left too many pts on the board.

Penn St TD - ball game.
