UConn fans would travel in great numbers to Myrtle Beach. Perhaps also to Orlando. Mobile? Not so much.

I'll be watching that one live after an awesome tailgate at Hard Rock. My daughter lives in Fort Lauderdale, and this will be our second Thanksgiving week down there with a Miami game/tailgate in the mix. She even sent me a nice Hurricanes polo.
The tailgate scene there is pretty crazy. Big Latin beats, crazy partying. Sure better than the tailgate/party scene at Michie this past weekend. West Point is a beautiful school with incredible scenery, but the stadium....meh. And no beer inside? Meh. Oh....and running out of beer at the two beer stands (outside the gates) by halftime? Unbelievable. Apparently they put football before beer there...maybe that's why they won.
I know there is the core anti-Rentschler group here, but we have it pretty good.

You can leave and go back in though. So if your tailgate is within walking distance...

Don't you love the use of "robust" by the marketing gurus? Sounds a lot less "robust" than UConn and CBSSN.

The "robust slate" is all ESPN3 and ESPN+ except for one game on the ESPN networks in each of the years 2023 and 2024.
"Adding the postseason to an already robust slate of programming offerings featuring the Minutemen across our platforms, ESPN networks will be the destination for UMass fans."

As previously announced, ESPN will provide live coverage for all five Massachusetts football home games from McGuirk Alumni Stadium this season, with the Sept. 17 home opener against Stony Brook set to air on ESPN3. The remainder of the home contests are subject to the standard 12-day selection process throughout the season to stream on ESPN3 or ESPN+.

In the 2023 and 2024 seasons, at least one Massachusetts football home game will be televised on ESPN networks in addition to streaming.

Breeze is 98 round trip non-stop Bradley to Charleston. Leave on Friday, come back on Tuesday

If UConn goes to the Myrtle Beach bowl at Coastal Carolina's stadium (Conway, SC), the Wilmington, NC airport is also reasonably convenient distance-wise (~85 miles, yet non-highway).

Touring the Battleship Alabama and the short drive to Biloxi's casinos aren't attractive options for free time?
Picture yourself next to a mock up of one of the 16 inch gun projectiles..........2700 pounds that would go 24 miles, and think how exhilarating it would be to ride one like Slim Pickens.............

Only game today that could affect our bowl chances is underway: Arkansas (6-5) at Missouri (5-6) on CBS.

You don't stay in Mobile. You stay on Orange Beach or Gulf Shores in Alabama or Biloxi, MS. Maybe hit up Fairhope, AL.

Throw in a night on Dauphin St in Mobile and you are in/out for a good time overall.

You'll need to factor in baggage and a whole lot of smaller fees but yeah, that's a solid price.
Yeah those bags aren’t cheap with Avelo… but still cheaper than any other airline and factoring in hotel, etc.

Florence, SC is also an option, about as far away as Wilmington, NC. Both are ~90 minutes. Charleston is about 2.5 hours.

Can NM State get bowl eligible at 5-6? This is their last game, no?

This is a good question. I thought it wouldn’t matter with them being 24 point underdogs today. They had a game vs San Jose St canceled when the SJS player died. I do not think they are making up the game so if they finish 5-6, I assume they are not eligible…

The game is technically postponed, but it's probably unlikely to be rescheduled at this point unless nm state really pushes for it to go to a bowl.
