“I feel like me on the Knicks, I feel like that fit would be great,” Bouknight said Thursday on a Zoom. “Just get another guard that you could give him the ball and ask him to get a basket.

“I feel like my play-making ability is under-rated and just getting to a team where I can showcase that part of my game, I feel like that is essential and I feel like I can do that with the Knicks.”

Bouknight was just on ESPN2 in the NBA Draft Combine coverage... getting interviewed by Jay Bilas.

Went over tape of his shotmaking, pretty cool.

Does anyone have it recorded?
Missed it. Would love if someone could post some version of it

Do the right thing Leon!!
Seen so much buzz about the Knicks trading up for Bouknight today. Nothing official, but after Bouk mentioned the Knicks in his interviews it seems like the media/fans really bought into it. I think it could be a very good fit for him.

i listen to a bunch of the national nba pods and just heard bouknight's name come up for the first time. ryen russillo with the ringer's kevin o'connor, at the 43 minute mark:

it's not a super long discussion, but russillo says that every nba person he talks to seems to love bouk (despite the fact that so many mocks have him late lotto or lower)

Poker being played by teams/GMs about their real targets outside of the top 5.. Misinformation strategies everywhere.

Bouk is being well coached as to his public statements and desired landing spots.

Interested teams will soon know(if they don't already) how motivated Bouk is to excel.

Great to see a UConn guy grabbing the attention of the NBA at a high level. Draft Night will be pretty interesting.

I'm almost 6'3 and my standing reach is 8'..but I do have ape arms....that number seems way low for a guy 6'5
I agree. I'm 6 feet, wear shirts with a 34/35 length, and just reached 7'9" while wearing flip flops. And they're not high heeled flip flops.

That 8 foot number has to be wrong.

Not Bouknight related, but Julian Champagnie is showing very well in the combine game thats on right now. Going to be a monster if he comes back to St. John’s next year. I have a weird feeling that he will end up staying in the draft, but it really could go either way.

Would love to see Bouk have a Dwayne wade type career. IMO his upside is tremendous. I know his UConn career didn’t end like we wanted it to, but there are few huskies who made the game look as easy and effortless as he did when he was on. Made things look easy, but with flair, which is hard to do.

I keep making the Lavine comparison because of just how easy and effortless he can make the game look at times. That NBA spacing should help him out a ton.

Still seeing that the Pistons really like him and would explore trading up for him. If they could walk away from this draft with Cade and Bouk that would be an incredible haul for them.

Here are a bunch of mock drafts in one place. Bouknight is anywhere from #7 to not in the lottery.

As I have previously stated, James draft postion will be based on his private workout with teams which none of these mock draft analysts are privy to. He is a great player but an unfinished product. So predicting where he goes is not as easy as with many other players.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but James' draft stock has to be benefitting from Trae Young's league dominating performance. They physically look alike (could almost be brothers) and have somewhat similar skills. If any team thought James was too skinny for the league they probably don't anymore.

If James could dribble and shoot like trae young he’s be a lock for the top 6 and probably more line top 3

Where are you seeing that?

Just from social media/pistons media. No official sources. I’m no insider.

I do know before they got the #1 pick that they wanted to take Bouknight if they got the 5 or 6 pick, so i’m not sure if people have real sources on them trading up or if they are just building on the fact that the GM really likes him.

They don't look alike and they certainly don't play anything alike at all

I disagree, they are both skinny guards who can score and light it up at times. All sports leagues are copy cat leagues, anyone out there looking for the next Trae Young might consider James. James could develop his PG skills, we have seen him make some great passes, we know he has a plus basketball IQ. Trae Young is this years breakout NBA superstar and the timing could not be better for James.
