Lolz. Settle down, Francis.

I know nothing about Dartmouth basketball, but I didn't think that was required to detect the sarcasm.

I see they lost 57-37 to something called Jacksonville University on Saturday, but rallied to beat UMass Lowell 80-75 in OT yesterday.

Hope that helps.

There, that's a more useful reply. Cheers. Looks like they stink. So hopefully the transitive property holds and Buffalo isn't much of a challenge. Unfortunately, it looks like Buffalo handled Harvard.

and lol makes passive aggressive statement...gets reply...tells person to settle down. I'm perfectly settled thanks.

That was weird and absolutely did kill momentum. To play at the pace we need we're going to need to sub out our starters to give them a blow, but I didn't love the line change thing either. Still, they seemed to get better the longer they stayed out there, with the exception of Jalen. Don't get me wrong; I like Gaffney and think he's going to be good for us, but injured and new is a tough combo to overcome.

FWIW, as athletic as Bouk may be, we should temper our expectations early on. He's lost valuable game time and he is a freshman.

The biggest thing I think he brings is what this team is missing right now - and that's someone other than Polley who can shoot a little bit.

Now the options at guard all of a sudden get really interesting with Bouknight in the fold.

Whatever he does, I hope he doesn't do a full shift change like he did against FL. We were asserting control over them when he subbed out all our guys and put in the backups. We immediately went stagnant. I'd like to see him slowly insert guys in and out. This isn't hockey.

I hate when coaches coach like that. Maybe against weak teams it’s ok but not against strong , ranked teams.

Agree, but I am trying to temper my own expectations.

I think even bigger is that he can create offense off the dribble. I besides AG who has his issues finishing who else has that ability. Vital is very limited here too. This will be a Godsend when we need to score with the shot clock ticking down.

Will be interesting and fun to watch. As someone said he's a freshman too like Gaffney and Akok. Both of those guys looked like they could score, get to the basket make things happen. For now gaffney is still hurt but nervous as you can see and he killed us on D yesterday. Akok is full of potential and was huge even without scoring yesterday. But in the last 2-3 minutes when he took it baseline and threw up a nice 10 footer that rolled off, well I said we need to see more of that because he has the skills. Hopefully Bouk is more confident with he ball but hopefully he's willing to guard some people too. Look forward to Thursday and the weekend. We are due to have that "wow" freshman I think!

The owner of the vehicle, a female student at UConn, said at first she did not give Bouknight permission to use the car, but later told police she could not remember if she did or not. Her family submitted a letter to the court, recommending the accelerated rehab program for Bouknight. She wishes to remain anonymous.

Must be UConn basketball fans. :)

If I had to take a guess from all that I have heard, Bouknight seems to have the swagger and the mental intensity to be just what we need coming off the bench. Not sure if he will be starting in March given Christians hot hand but practice video shows he’s def less passive then Akok.
Ps. With this said I loved Akok’s nice baseline move that did not fall. Even if he doesn’t take the shot this opens the floor and adds another dimension to us.
I was at game yestrday and when i saw akok make that move on the baseline and just glide towards the hoop I said to myself “we have a player here!”

Was at the game yesterday and Akok just needs to get stronger to finish that move. Don't know why he didn't get the ball more on offense when open in the middle of the Fla. zone. Boy can flat out shoot . His D is outragious.

Yeah, a man can dream, right? Just trying to head off the inevitable dump on the kid when he doesn't turn out to be 2011 Kemba in his first game.
That’s like trying to head off Diarra after eating a bad burrito.

Think when Bouknight and Gafney get on the court together you will have something special.

They played better second time he put them in. That unit probably plays together against the starters and is familiar with one another’s movement which is a positive.

It was a downgrade in play but it didn’t cost us and gave valuable playing time to a group who will be around long after the majority of starters move on.

At the time, it definitely cost us. We were on a roll, and that was immediately scuttled. I can appreciate the value of guys playing together, but you don't just take all your best players of the floor in one go. At least not in my book.

Get them valuable PT in games that are well in hand. Bottom line is collecting as many wins as possible.

Every player has to learn to play with every other player anyway.

It didn't cost us the game which is what I meant and thought was obvious but apparently not.

Others will agree with your book but Hurley must have had confidence in that group to play them like that.

I was trying to make the point that judging something on the outcome doesn't make the original decision the correct one. There's a name for that principle but I can't recall it rn.

Clearly he does, or he wouldn't do it. It's not a philosophy I agree with. You give yourself bad matchups that way imo.

Calipari tried this a few years ago when he had two shifts of McD AAs to work with. Didn't work that great for him as I recall.

If there's any silver lining in Bouk's suspension, it looks like Alterique has already jumped out to an early lead as this season's whipping boy, so Bouk may get a little grace period.
Sadly true.
