J.J. Reddick as an analyst is growing on me. I'll admit it.
I started liking him midway through his NBA career. He grew up an awful lot.

I half agree. I think he has a great mind, but he also gets too much credit for debating idiots like SAS and KPerk.
Also, his whole virtue signaling after the 2nd Ja gun incident rubbed me the wrong way.
Yes. All of the above.Anyone else dreaming of Castle lobs to Clingan for dunks? And dribble drive penetration with dishes to an open Karaban, Newton, and Spencer for dagger threes?

I don’t even need practice footage. Give me some shooting drill, a game of knockout, anything basketball related. It’s branding malpractice to not have footage of these guys available.I need summer workout videos now. We used to get the all the time last summer. SMH.
Exactly!! Give us something, we’re fiending right nowI don’t even need practice footage. Give me some shooting drill, a game of knockout, anything basketball related. It’s branding malpractice to not have footage of these guys available.
looks like malpractice is back on the menu boysI don’t even need practice footage. Give me some shooting drill, a game of knockout, anything basketball related. It’s branding malpractice to not have footage of these guys available.
J.J. sucks for sure, but the suckitude of ESPN is so great, that a sports personality capable of even brief moments of lucidity can come off like Howard Cosell by comparison.I half agree. I think he has a great mind, but he also gets too much credit for debating idiots like SAS and KPerk.

He lists them in a subsequent clip. UConn, Maryland and UNC.It just keeps getting better and better. I have not read through the complete thread, but other than UConn who do you think JJ’s other two schools are? One has to be North Carolina I think. Is Kansas the other. Yup I know it old news But Who is Now a no doubt about it blueblood. No more arguing we are one of the best four or five programs over the last 25 years and other than maybe Kansas we are the only one that is currently trending up. And Redick’s reaction confirms everyone knows this fact! Thank you Dan Hurley!
I was thinking Kansas. Other than us they are really the only blue blood trending up. Kentucky is going to have to show me. Can Cal still relate enough to the 5 stars he piles up. They always have talent but his ability to turn that talent into a team may no longer exist. NC I don’t think Brown is the answer as HC. Like him as a person but he just may not have the “it” factor to be an elite coach. What's the 3rd school Redick is talking about for his hate list? The 2nd one is obviously UNC. Is it Kentucky?
This year’s team has the potential to be better than last year’s team. Crazy but true. Karaban, Clingan, and Newton will all be much better. Castle is potentially a better freshman than Clingan or Karaban were last year. The bench should be much deeper this year than last. Cam could potentially put up the same numbers that Hawkins did. HmmmmShould make the the folks missing Andre feel better.
It’s Maryland.
Thanks what’s the connection to Maryland did they beat them in the tourney or acc tourney. He must not like them for a reason. Maryland hand some good years. He lists them in a subsequent clip. UConn, Maryland and UNC.

Ceiling is high, but the core is younger and we have a LOT of production to replace. This year’s team has the potential to be better than last year’s team. Crazy but true. They were brutal when we went for an FB game. They insisted we take Randy Edsall back with us.Their fans. Maryland has particularly awful fans who are known for being pretty abusive to visiting players and their families.
Sounds like some smart fans. They were brutal when we went for an FB game. They insisted we take Randy Edsall back with us.

Very well said and I agree with you. Leadership is potentially going to be an issue with this team. Karaban and clingan seem like quiet leaders. Maybe Newton will try to lead or maybe Castle will. We shall see but as you said, the ceiling is very high for them.Ceiling is high, but the core is younger and we have a LOT of production to replace.
Spencer is a great piece, but he’s not the same player as Hawkins. Jackson’s impact on the team, particularly defensively, was so understated. That’s not going to be easy to replace. And Sanogo was an absolute monster in the low post. We are going to have to run different sets for Clingan because he doesn’t have nearly the footwork, low post moves, and footwork that Sanogo has. But Clingan has some abilities that Sanogo never can have.
Again, ceiling is high for this team but I wouldn’t be shocked if it takes some time for this team to find its groove and develop leadership and chemistry. Our OOC schedule is a GAUNTLET compared to last season, too.
Oh yea, we’re the national champs. We’re gettin everyone’s absolute best shot for 40 minutes. Hope this team can rise up to the pressure. I think Danny and co will have them ready to go come Feb/March.

Now that's crossing the line
