1. He was referring to any number of things, to the APR, the status of students, his own.
2. The comment that no announcement is needed IS an announcement.

Please. He was clearly talking about his coaching status. He even says that it's not just about him, it's also about finding out what the kids want to to do. But the focus is on his status. The APR is irrelevant...that's not anything he has control over or needs to decide upon with the AD and President. Frankly, neither is the draft status of Drummond and Lamb.

A tweet vaguely suggesting that he's staying until he announces that he isn't staying is not an announcement. We need a yes or a no for at least this year, via a press conference or formal press release from the university. Drummond said the other day "coach is gone".

My guess is that he's still negotiating with Warde and Herbst. He wants Ollie and is trying to cut a deal that gets Ollie the job.

In most cases, yes. Not in this case. An announcement IS needed. JC changed the rules last year. He doesn't get to change them back this year. There will be doubt until he says something explicit.

No he wasn't. The fact that you used the word clear in reference to something Calhoun said shows how wrong you are.

The draft status of players as well as the APR is totally relevant when it comes to the discussion at hand: he was talking about recruiting in the future.

Show me the link for Drummond's quote.

How did he change the rules last year? He never made an announcement.

Really?... This is worse than Brett Favre? Calhoun's situation is now synonomous with a guy that has retired and unretired at least 5 times, cried at every retirement, and then photographed his junk and sent it to some mistress...

Sounds exactly like something Calhoun would do...

Are you still standing by this? Do you still think Calhoun already said he was staying? So what is he going to "announce" in August then?
