the other question I have is whether she plans to spend all four years at UConn or head back to professional ball in Europe after a couple of years.....
You wouldn't come to UConn to do that. They are too team and education first. There are many other schools that look to cultivate (and exploit) the individual whose objective is professional/international ball and the $ associated with same.

I bet her frustration will be whatever fundamentals/mechanics that UConn coaches will want to change to improve her game over the long term. I feel like young players who propel into low level pros like this sometimes have some fundamental issues that need fixing. She may have issues at first until she breaks old habits and gets back into the groove.
The assumptions u are making are not fact based
what mechanics and fundamentals are u speaking about..?
and who are the young players who have been at the pro level who have actually
played in college certainly none at uconn

Hmm. As an example. They changed Makurat's whole running stride. That is the most fundamental of fundamentals...

Do you have a link to or any evidence of this supposed inside info that you've acquired? Or did you just make it up? Makurat admitted that she was not in shape during her first year and she had a lower right leg injury her soph year before leaving UConn. Who exactly tried to change her running stride and when?

Watch games..... her freshman year there was discussion during games by Meg Culmo how the coaching staff were trying to alter her stride when she was running up the court to make it more efficient and give her better balance. The evidence would be sny games her freshman year Meg Culmo discussion.

Highlights of this game

This kid is electric. Two hand stuff on Juhasz at 2:20. Two beautiful spin moves at 3:05 and 4:38. And a nice floater down the lane at 5:00. Strong is getting some serious help next season.

I found the time to look at a lot more videos of Blanca from the last month or so. Some of them are low quality, some may be from cell phones, and a few are at court level instead of the high angle of the tv broadcasts.

One thing the courtside videos show is how big Blanca is. This is sometimes hard to tell from higher angles. She is not little. She is also not slight. I’d compare her physically to Ayanna more than to Caroline or Morgan. I might compare her to Cotie McMahon, only taller and with a better perimeter shot. Maybe a bit like Lou Lopez Senechal — perhaps not quite the same perimeter shooter, but a similar energy and courage and better defense. She’s quick and strong like Aubrey and finishes really well at the rim.

She is a high energy player. She leaps, she dives for loose balls, she blocks shots, she runs the floor, she drives the lane. She has very active hands.

The only question for me is how long it will take her to absorb Geno’s system, especially on defense. How long did it take Lou? It’s not clear from the highlights videos how sophisticated Campobasso’s defense really is. Earlier in the season, Blanca spends a lot of time guarding someone on the wing and this doesn’t showcase her ability very well. In later games, you see more of the defensive switching and a complex passing game on offense.

I agree that Blanca will be a great partner for Sarah. Just as a physical pair, they’re similar in size but contrasting in energy. And they could make for an amazing high-low game between them.
