it's amazing that she never misses :) she for sure is impressive. She seems to have all the tools (3 pointer, mid-range shot, going to the basket, good handles, defensive instincts, euro step, etc.) to be successful at UConn.

Love this player... Hmm... Hey @Tonyc ... does that Scalia kid have any eligibility left?.. :)
Sara Nicole Scalia, the one that I know, played for the UNIVERSITY OF INDIANA
and had a great career, especially adept at hitting three pointers. Sara was
undrafted in the 2024 WNBA draft. I guess there is no chance of Geno
getting a waiver to have her play for the HUSKIES!!!

She is used to having teammates who are accurate outside shooters. She should feel right at home.

What is unique about Blanca. She plays professionally. Coming to UConn will be much different. The focus and discipline and competition. She has alot of talent athleticism and ability. Geno will mold her. A mature Jana and Sarah will help. UConn will be a young team next season. They will have the talent and size. I have a lot on confidence in what they will accomplish

I wonder how Geno's practices are compared to the professional practices she's gotten used to. In the old days, I'd bet Geno's would be tougher but I'm not sure now that he's "mellowed" as a coach....

IMO Geno breaks down girls builds them up and makes them better then thought they could be. You play for the best coach who is known to make you your best. Why would you want to play for less?

I bet her frustration will be whatever fundamentals/mechanics that UConn coaches will want to change to improve her game over the long term. I feel like young players who propel into low level pros like this sometimes have some fundamental issues that need fixing. She may have issues at first until she breaks old habits and gets back into the groove.

the other question I have is whether she plans to spend all four years at UConn or head back to professional ball in Europe after a couple of years.....
