Big East Tournament Thread

Big Vince on Gtown has potential. Legit size. Him and Halafinuo together could work, as the latter has some PC skills.
Big Vince was the alpha last night against DePaul. Tonight it's Julius. If Georgetown wins this game Hurley and staff will have to have a plan for the PnR to pick and pop that Georgetown is running with Halifinua. He has been very effective hitting the mid range.
I am then Halifinua is in the game go to Reed even more.

Lots of game left though with Nova down 8 with 7 minutes to go.

Later Edit: Holy f..uu..cc.k. Georgetown is looking like a sharpshooting team with consecutive 3s and now have a 14 pt lead with 5:35 left. Nova is reeling and calls timeout.Georgetown is shooting above 50% in this game.

This Gtown team has some talent. I like this Mulready kid, anytime I see him out there he is doing good things. With Lewis, this could have been a good team, doesn't seem like Cooley made the most out of this squad. Kid that holds them back is Mack - he is not good, plays a lot like bad Malachi. Takes a lot of bad shots, makes bad decisions, shoots an awful %.

This one is ova.

It’s not better for our RPI, but I’m also not sure it’s better for our win potential. Georgetown looked pretty damn good tonight! Either way, we roll.

Askew cold as ice. Mulready and Halifinua are on fire. We can call this game. UConn vs Georgetown tomorrow.

I think Jeremiah Williams being forced to be in the lineup more has made Georgetown a better team because he’s the type of PG they need.

Not necessarily on KJ, but on Mack. Cooley really has to figure out that PG spot for next year as, like you said, Mack has been holding an otherwise pretty talented team back.

Georgetown is going to come into tomorrow night feeling really confident. The Huskies better be ready with their "A" game.

They def shot their wad tonight

These teams playing for a birth will always have something to fight for - and they’ll be confident given first two games. I expect it to be close-ish. Gtown has some men out there.

It’s too bad they don’t have anything better than Mack at pg

From Worcester, MA. I remember we kicked the tires a little (Tom Moore area of expertise) but didn't really recruit him.

If UF wins the SEC Tourney, they're the #1 seed even if UConn wins the BET. IOW, it is out of the Huskies' hands here.

I don't remember Halaifonua at all against the Huskies. Just looked up the boxscores and he had 2 points the first game and 4 points the second game. Hopefully he blew his wad tonight.

Not a snowballs chance in hell he would’ve saw the court here. It took Cooley taking a chance on him mid season randomly for him to even start breaking out now.

Abraham is the most impressive looking non impressive basketball player in the BE. He plays so mechanical.

Gtown could be very good next year if they can get Lewis back. I’d move off Mack even though he has a year left.
