I want him
Hey. Pee C fires coach?

Fair and open season for an intra league poaching.

Storrsroars' concern of him maybe being a duplicate Solo is reasonable. He's also just a freshman. He's 6'7". Perfect size for a 3 and I bet our staff can coach him up and over to that position. We will know within weeks if that spot will be open next year.

26/27 starting 5 of Demary, Solo, Vaaks, Colben Landrew and Reibe would be a yes please to me. Hope Mullins stays.

It wasn't me with the concern. I want him. That was @Tenspro2002 with the concern.

How long before PC announces English is gone? Before the bus reaches Providence? Some time later today after the bus stops in Providence? First thing tomorrow morning? The announcement has already been written so you know it's not going past then.

Rip the bandage off and announce it before the day is over.

We've been playing at MSG for 40+ years now. Wouldn't change a thing. St John's is more familiar with the arena, the shooting sites, but their crowd advantage goes away with 11 teams all receiving the same number of seats. They won't control the lower bowl

As teams get eliminated, it's about what fans will spend the money

If the top seeds advance, Friday night is going to be one hot ticket

St John's
UConn
Nova
Seton Hall
If SJU and UConn meet in the finals they will. It will likely be closer than their "home game", but a decent amount of those other fans are going to sell their tickets, more of them to local SJU fans than UConn fans.

And by the way don’t you think the reason we are on peacock/fs1/Fox is related to the lack of interest in the product?
No, the reason for that is the moron in charge of the conference.

I don't think he's going to get any sympathy from the PC fans.

“I don’t want anyone’s sympathy,” English said after the 85-72 loss to St. John’s in the Big East Tournament quarterfinals at Madison Square Garden on Thursday. ” I don’t like anyone’s pity. Don’t text me nothing sad, ‘Hope you’re OK, keep your head up’… Kick me while I’m down. I’ll get up. I’ve never been more proud in that locker room than I was after this season.”

There’s no way it should favor StJ. Not hard to get from CT to NYC on a Saturday

The 1999 BET final was at least 80% UConn fans to 20% SJU fans. I was really surprised. UConn fans usually show up on Saturdays.

Shall vs St Johns part 3. They are 0-6 vs the top 3 in the BE; you have to figure they eventually break through. Though I suppose their chances at an at-large are shot even with a STJ win. Just imagine if they were 1-5 vs the top 3 even, and won even one of those really bad losses...

So are we rooting for the Q1 game tomorrow or Georgetown?
I was just asking myself the same. Even though Villanova is a much better team, the Huskies struggled more with Georgetown this season. Don't think it matters though. It's all about the Huskies from here.

It’s incredible how well Georgetown can consistently play top teams. Waiting for the inevitable end of game meltdown from here.

How Georgetown is playing poorly while having a lead over a 3 seed just doesn’t make sense.

During the Nova/Gtown game I swear I heard one of the announcers call somebody Horford. I was thinking it couldn't be. That dude is so old he fought Joe Lewis.

.-.
The absence of him and Lewis on Georgetown is very apparent when watching this game.

Big Vince on Gtown has potential. Legit size. Him and Halafinuo together could work, as the latter has some PC skills.

Big Vince was the alpha last night against DePaul. Tonight it's Julius. If Georgetown wins this game Hurley and staff will have to have a plan for the PnR to pick and pop that Georgetown is running with Halifinua. He has been very effective hitting the mid range.
I am then Halifinua is in the game go to Reed even more.

Lots of game left though with Nova down 8 with 7 minutes to go.

Later Edit: Holy f..uu..cc.k. Georgetown is looking like a sharpshooting team with consecutive 3s and now have a 14 pt lead with 5:35 left. Nova is reeling and calls timeout.Georgetown is shooting above 50% in this game.
