That's some take. AJ Storr, huh?

We need to find a Nigel James. How did we let that kid out of our backyard? Dawg, elite athlete.
Plus he played with the Ross brothers so he must have bloomed big time over the past six months or our coaches had blinders on. Has to be his size that deterred them.

Kid gets into the lane at will and finishes so strong. Special kinda player.

I think the chances of our guys coming out flat and too over-confident against X is more likely.

That loss to Marquette should sting and take that possibility away.

But I'm not too worried about either one, knock on wood.
This is the risk. I really wanted Marquette so there’s that revenge factor. This team is totally unable to get up for normal games. There is a 99.99% chance they come out totally flat. We will be lucky if we can eke out a win. Fingers crossed.

I’ve said it before, but I’d hope it’s County, really like the idea of developing a 4 year Big East PG

I mean, I get it, you don't have to be an ex-pro to criticize a teams play. Most of us have played some form of organized ball for an extended period of time. But reffing? or calling games? You gotta have at least some experience.

It's like asking a 5 year old to review a strip club.
Don't sell those five year olds short. Some may have similar experiences with Drag Queen Story Hours....

I meant as in an elite homegrown PG. I’m down for another Newton

Gotta give Shaka credit, he can develop guards. If only he could with centers.

County and James are very different players. County feels more like a TNewt ceiling player over 4 years. James is an animal - he's unique, and a difference maker.
Are you saying Newton was not a “difference maker”? Are you saying Nigel James is better than Newton? If so then you must be betting on Nigel also being a first team all American and final four MOP, at the very least, Because Nigel has a higher ceiling than a Newton type player?

Nobody ever gives those kids a chance.

He needs to go buy his centers.

Parham is a beast.

No, he was - but more a perfect compliment. He isn't as physically unique as James is. James is an exceptional athlete.

Would Newton been a first team AA on Georgetown that year?
Why don't you just say Nigel James is shorter and more explosive than County and Newton?

Why do you make a post making it sound like Newton wasn't a difference maker and County is a more Newton ceiling player instead of just saying County is a big guard like Newton and the hope is he will eventually be something like Newton one day down the road?

Game calling is entertainment. You don't have to be an expert at it to know whether you like the product or not.

You watch movies, right? You know whether you liked or didn't like a movie. You don't have to be an expert on acting to have an opinion on whether you liked the acting or not. It's an opinion on the value of the entertainment.
I know what you mean. You're right.

But, and I'm being serious, I haven't watched a movie in maybe ten years. Some people dont read novels - I dont watch movies.

I wonder how nova will look tmrw. Their lack of length has shown down the stretch. I'm not a believer in that team right now.

Correct, we are DOOMED!

Business trip to NYC for Huskies. Just take care of business, PROFESSIONALS!!

Now the question is will they sleepwalk vs Xavier since they blew them out 2x
Xavier is the only team we've easily handled in both matchups. This will be a real litmus test for where the team is at, mentally.

Another struggle here and it will be an uncomfortable 24 (or, God-forbid, 168) hours until the next chance to show that we're actually back in contending form.

I don't mind Donny's commenting style in a vacuum, though he could stand to let the game breathe a little.

He's unlistenable specifically as a UConn fan because he bends over backwards to be an anti-homer. I've never heard a guy complain as much about 50/50 calls in our favor or excuse bad calls that go against us.
It really does seem like he'd be better if there was no UConn connection. Who would care, anyway? Reggie Miller calls games then gets standing ovations in Indiana. Everyone knows where these guys played

Fair point on the season tix holders. I think there were still tickets to be had on Ticketmaster, etc, for that game, but people weren't willing to pay for them. Would love to see us have a bigger turnout this time, we were overwhelmed last time. You know it's bad when you don't have to wait in line to pregame at Legends.
know it is bad when you can get into Legends and can get a seat on the train.

The real indicator to me though was seeing people in St Johns gear on Metro North in CT. Been going to the garden for the ST Johns game for a long time (even at Alumni Hall) but that was the first time I saw any St Johns gear in CT
