With a busy day at work I had this Providence-St. John's game recording and promised myself I wouldn't Google the score or look at this thread so I could watch it later without knowing the result. I caved by Googling it at different points in the game. I saw the game started out as 20-5, St. John's and now it's a 24 pt deficit. It looks like I can watch a few minutes and then hit "Delete Recording". Oh well.

Cool story I told, I know. I am disappointed. I wanted a close competitive game.

Getting beat 19-8 on rebounds, 9 offensive and turning the ball over 6x before the 7 minute mark is basically saying, here you go StJ.

They are such a beatable team. Force them to actually make shots without giving them free shots and they will lose.

Yep. Very undisciplined offense which is attributed to the head coach. English will not be missed by PC fans.

How long before PC announces English is gone? Before the bus reaches Providence? Some time later today after the bus stops in Providence? First thing tomorrow morning? The announcement has already been written so you know it's not going past then.

He creates his own shot off the dribble, can shoot it from anywhere, and has great size. We don't have anyone like that.

Fair and open season for an intra league poaching.

Storrsroars' concern of him maybe being a duplicate Solo is reasonable. He's also just a freshman. He's 6'7". Perfect size for a 3 and I bet our staff can coach him up and over to that position. We will know within weeks if that spot will be open next year.

26/27 starting 5 of Demary, Solo, Vaaks, Colben Landrew and Reibe would be a yes please to me. Hope Mullins stays.

We've been playing at MSG for 40+ years now. Wouldn't change a thing. St John's is more familiar with the arena, the shooting sites, but their crowd advantage goes away with 11 teams all receiving the same number of seats. They won't control the lower bowl

As teams get eliminated, it's about what fans will spend the money

If the top seeds advance, Friday night is going to be one hot ticket

If SJU and UConn meet in the finals they will. It will likely be closer than their "home game", but a decent amount of those other fans are going to sell their tickets, more of them to local SJU fans than UConn fans.
