I wonder what the chances are that SH gets ranked next week, or at least gets a fair number of votes

The Big East is getting set up for another official screw job in this game. While it was possible the ball went between the Auburn player's legs without touching any part of him, none of the replays were conclusive. The original call should have held up.

Refs are taking over Auburn/St. Johns.

St. Johns could lose by 10 the way the officials are calling this game. Auburn can commit felonies on defense and St. Johns can not so much as look wrong at Auburn on the other end.

Edit: Ibine Ayo just got hammered from behind on that drive, no call.

When I've watched they're constantly calling ticky tack stuff on St. John's and Auburn is hammering St. John's in the paint with no foul calls.

Pettiford killing St Johns

Auburn should have been down 12-14 points when Pettiford got hot. Auburn gets bailed out on every kamikaze drive to the basket.

I am cooling off on college basketball in general. It is tough to invest this much time in a sport where I don't trust the officiating.

This is not because of the refs. St John’s is just being exposed. The back court is extremely fraudulent. The defense was always fraudulent. And Zuby keeps pulling 2nd half disappearing acts.

Completely squandered their OOC.

Let’s hope they pull it off

I’ve been vastly underwhelmed with StJ.

It is amazing how often the close games go to the big money programs.

I checked out on big time college football for the same reason. I have not trusted the officiating in big football games, ever, so I am reluctant to invest 4+ hours into a big game just to have the higher of this ranking: SEC>Big 10> ACC/Big 12 > G5 get 2 or 3 big calls in the last 2 to 3 minutes.

This is why I still watch the NBA. At least I trust the officiating in that league.

I’ll wait for you to admit I was right Mr. @RuffRuff
Pegged. Jackson and Sanon look like total misfits. They’re starting to feel like big stickers names stuck on a knock off. Their back court looks really imbalanced and there isn’t even slightly the defensive intensity last years team had.

No RJ Luis to save them this year.

So far, St. Johns continues to show they are a horrific defensive team. Auburn shooting 56%, and teams are routinely shooting at or near 50% from the field against St. Johns. Last year they were a group of hardnosed guys who gave their all on both ends of the floor. This group is high on talent but you have to start questioning their desire to play D. They don't get that right, they are going to be just an average team all year.

St Johns probably won't lose more than 4 games in conference but this was a poor week for them. They still have opportunities vs Ole Miss and UK.

I really wanted to be wrong. They’ll beat up on the dregs of the conference and probably beat us once and find their way in the top 20. Pitino pulled a Hurley of last year and got too cute with roster construction. You need a lead guard. He’s not a magician

It's weird seeing a Pitino team that doesn't press. What's the point of getting all those athletes with very little three point shooting if you aren't going to amp it up and get them running/fast breaking?

This was a poor week for college basketball. The Big East games are not the only ones with officiating issues.

Repole is gonna start asking for a refund. Their defense is lazy. Bryce Hopkins a weird fit for Pitino. He can put the ball in the bucket but exudes none of the intensity of a Pitino player.
