Why would you ever want Syracuse to win anything ever?Great performance by Cuse outside of the worst ft shooting I've ever seen.
Really wanted them to win that one.

If they shot even decently they’d have won. And yes that foul they called on George guarding Uzan was awful. Blown call.Great performance by Cuse outside of the worst ft shooting I've ever seen.

You think Vlad and Wolf are better than Yaxel and this UCLA transfer? It's so early but I don't think the top teams are going to be as good as last season. Houston offense is cr@ppier than it was, they don't have that guy who can just create you a bucket like they did last season and they are less active/athletic than they were last season in terms of defense and offensive rebounding.
Florida isn't anywhere close to as good as they were last season, they lost all their guards.
Duke should be really good but nothing like last year, it's ridiculous they found a way to blow it last season.
Auburn was great last season and they won't be anything like that this season.
Alabama guards are electric but they're a little light in the frontcourt. Bol Bowen was a great pickup for them though and I really like that team.
BYU is really good but I don't think they have enough.
I just don't believe in Arizona.
Louisville is too young.
I liked Michigan more last season
St. John's I'm not counting out just to piss some of you off. Yes, point guard is a problem.
A healthy UConn and a healthy Purdue. Those are going to be the two best teams, IMO. I like UConn's chances over everyone.
I do but they also have Morez Johnson this season, big team. They're probably very similar to last season, very good team but I don't see them being any real threat to win it all.You think Vlad and Wolf are better than Yaxel and this UCLA transfer?
I do agree that the top teams this year won't be as good as last year. The top 4-5 team last year were really, really good. Duke had the two NBA ROY candidates, Florida was loaded, Houston w/Cryer & Roberts had two kids that lived the KS way, Auburn was super old and had Broome. It's so early but I don't think the top teams are going to be as good as last season. Also, Butler with 2 more bigger wins.Who would’ve thought at this point in the season SH would have a bigger win on their resume than SJ?
If Seton Hall ends up one of the better teams in the Big East somebody has to hire Holloway out of there ASAP. He deserves better.

So first round loss? The season just started. The group hadn't played much together last season and they've played even less together this season. They lost their one game against a ranked team before Big East play last season, they also lost to Georgia, and beat a terrible Virginia team. Do I think they'll go 18-2 again in the Big East? No. I also don't think they'll lose second round in the NCAA's again.
I just wish they would gel before they become so difficult to play in the Big East. It doesn't help us or the conference and I think it's going to happen again.
OMG, SU!!! You lose by 4 in OT, but you miss SEVENTEEN free throws ? WTF!!! To me this says a lot more about Houston than it says about Syracuse.Good question. The last possession was lousy for St John's.
This Houston- Syracuse game is exciting. Syracuse just tied the game from 3 with 54 seconds left
41% on 29 FTs has got to be up there with the worst ever. LOL! Asked @Grok what the last comparable level of failure at the FT line was in recent memory - Kansas in the 2003 finals against SU went 12 of 30 and lost by 3Great performance by Cuse outside of the worst ft shooting I've ever seen.
Really wanted them to win that one.
He can be an ideal candidate for St John’s across the way for when Pitino retires. Idk how Rutgers feels about their coach too. Somewhere that has shown they have the budget to field a competitive team while staying in his region. He is a great coach, and incredibly loyal to a school that wasn’t even trying the last two years. I believe they got a bump this year, but he is still likely working with one of the smallest payrolls of any major conference program.
Georgetown unfortunately lost Vince for 8 weeks. They had a calm two headed monster with him and Julius at center and he was great for them so far this season. Big blow to their depth. Thus far, the OOC results have not been bad at all, dare I say exceeding expectations
Seton Hall beat a ranked NC St
Georgetown off to a great start, including wins over Maryland and Clemson
Butler is off to a good start, including wins over South Carolina & Virginia
Even X is playing better after a rough start
It's early, but Creighton & Marquette are lagging
St John's can't just play good teams, they have to beat them too
Shaheen's total payroll is probably similar to what NC State pays for Derrion Williams alone. He is a great coach, and incredibly loyal to a school that wasn’t even trying the last two years. Houston plays good free throw defense? I knew Sampson was good, but that is really good coaching.OMG, SU!!! You lose by 4 in OT, but you miss SEVENTEEN free throws ? WTF!!! To me this says a lot more about Houston than it says about Syracuse.
If Jackson was as good as his reputation out of high school he'd still be at uNC so I'm skeptical about whether they have a leader.Iowa State is very good, but it's amazing how much better St. John's looks with a real PG: Idaho State transfer Dylan Darling. He's good, but is he good enough at this level? Is any St. John's guard good enough to run the offense at this level? IMO, if they replaced one of Sellers/Sanon/Jackson with a true PG, this team would have true title aspirations. Without that, I don't see it.
I meant beating SU by 4 in OT. You'd expect more from the preseason #1. I doubt, ultimately, that SU is any better than expected, but we'll see.Houston plays good free throw defense? I knew Sampson was good, but that is really good coaching.
For the people asking that isn't Seton Hall's NIL this year. It was reported by NJ.com that was their NIL money last season which I've also heard is incorrect. That's not Seton Hall's NIL budget. The ESPN guys should shut up because they don't know what they're talking about.
How much is their current NIL?For the people asking that isn't Seton Hall's NIL this year. It was reported by NJ.com that was their NIL money last season which I've also heard is incorrect.
The NIL numbers aren't publicly disclosed so it's spitballing but a more accurate # based off of word of mouth and what their AD has said they're conservatively sending $6 million all in on men's basketball. How much is their current NIL?
