I don't know how good Butler is, but they don't suck. And with how bad a few teams on the bottom of the league are, I will take "they don't suck". The Big East needed this one, because there are a few games in the Big 12/Big East challenge (ISU/Depaul, Houston/Xavier, Seton Hall/Baylor, TCU/Georgetown) that the Big East has no chance of winning.
 
Creighton looks like they're picking up where they left off at Colo St. -- not hitting their shots again.

EDIT: I may have spoken too soon.

It shouldn't be that weird, they're not exactly DePaul. They've been pretty damn good before the last few seasons.
 
I like King on Creighton. He is one of the 5 best players on the team, and should be playing more with Kalkbrenner instead of solely backing him up.

Given how bad Butler looked last year, and how much better they look this year, it is hard to argue with any of Matta's roster decisions.

Marquette should win but it's hard to call any game between 2 top 20 teams a lock

This could be a rough night in the BE/B12 challenge. Really need the win against Kansas to keep it competitive/pull out the overall win.

We are hoping UConn can do what Marquette did to Kansas. However, Kansas in a pumped up Allen Field House is different than playing them in Hawaii on a neutral court. Plus, Marquette plays that pressure scrambling D that emphasizes overplaying the passing lanes. It forces steals and deflections and it drove Kansas nuts. UConn's D is good, but they don't play that style on D.

The Johnies and WVa game is a real groaner so far. Neither team can buy a basket.

Kyle Neptune should be fired tomorrow. He has a team full of seniors/5th year seniors and three guys who should be all league and he can't beat any of the mid-major teams in Philadelphia. The guy can't coach at all and can't recruit. Nova better fire this guy before he really damages the brand.
