Well they had a chance to accomplish that now their doomed.Hall gets their 20th win and is locked into the 4/5 at MSG next week
If Providence wins their last 2 games then we will be the #1 seed in the Big East TournamentWhat does it matter? I want St. John's to be unscathed before meeting us in the Big East tournament title game. If a Seton Hall win against St. John's gets the Hall in the NCAA tournament I would root for that but I don't think it will.
Wouldn't it be better to get the 2 seed and get another quad 1 game vs Nova in the BET?If Providence wins their last 2 games then we will be the #1 seed in the Big East Tournament
And a St. John's ranked around #15 instead of around #25 if they lost to Georgetown tonight.Wouldn't it be better to get the 2 seed and get another quad 1 game vs Nova in the BET?
You could make that argument, I guess the 1/2 seed doesn't really matter much outside of optics. But Seton Hall is also right on the border of being Q1 too in the 1/4 matchupWouldn't it be better to get the 2 seed and get another quad 1 game vs Nova in the BET?
I am looking forward to the Seton Hall -St. John's game on Friday. I don't know who will win, but I think it will be a competitive rock fight. Not a great start for our tiebreaker. Creighton winning and Marquette beating Providence
It is if you want the 2 seed 😉Not a great start for our tiebreaker. Creighton winning and Marquette beating Providence
I feel like every year we get to selection Sunday and realize that conference tourneys have very little impact on NCAAT seeding.Wouldn't it be better to get the 2 seed and get another quad 1 game vs Nova in the BET?
I believe if it's splitting hairs, it won't matter. This year, I think it may be in the Florida 1/2 dynamic. I can see them penciling it in in advance, and we'll just be flip flopped in the same region.I feel like every year we get to selection Sunday and realize that conference tourneys have very little impact on NCAAT seeding.
Yeah, that BE 1 seed died quick and easy tonight.15 turnovers and 2 assists. Impressive stuff from the Friars.
Wouldn't say it's dead yet, even if it's ultimately meaningless. We'll still have about a 34% chance after tonightYeah, that BE 1 seed died quick and easy tonight.
Are you sure? I think a Creighton win and a PC loss just about killed it. It was Creighton's last game and they'll be finishing with 9 wins, PC would only have 7 after tonight with one to go.Wouldn't say it's dead yet, even if it's ultimately meaningless. besides the massive free throw differential against us?
Seton Hall is hosting St. John's on Friday with the motivation to get that signature Q1 win for their NCAAT hopes. I think this will be a highly competitive game. Are you sure? Sigh. The 34% chance would be that St John’s loses and UConn wins. Are you sure? I think a Creighton win and a PC loss just about killed it. It was Creighton's last game and they'll be finishing with 9 wins, PC would only have 7 after tonight with one to go.
Thanks - no need to sigh, grateful for the explanation. StJ isn't losing to SH.Sigh. The 34% chance would be that St John’s loses and UConn wins.
Don’t be so sure. Hall had them up 15 at half in queens a month ago. And St. John’s nearly lost to Georgetown at home last night! Thanks - no need to sigh, grateful for the explanation. StJ isn't losing to SH.
