Big East March ‘26 Thread

All that screaming and then bricks the ft. Happy St. John's won.

This league stinks. Two teams with 2 losses, due to 2 fluke losses, everyone else is garbage.

Georgetown will be so much better when they get rid of Mack. He is such a high usage, low quality player. No defense and can’t run an offense. Cooley-ball can’t succeed with an undersized PG who can’t hold onto the ball
Was thinking the same thing. Guy can get buckets for sure, but takes so many tough shots and isn’t consistent at all

Crap last possession there just go for the quick two extend the game.
That's what I was saying to the TV hoping the Georgetown players could hear me. They couldn't. Oh well. Seton Hall hosts St. John's on Friday.

Need to take notes on Nova and Georgetown put them on our hit list. Does Hurley help out his friend Shaheen in St John’s prep?

Would have been nice if Georgetown won, but the important game is really tomorrow with Providence and Marquette
What does it matter? I want St. John's to be unscathed before meeting us in the Big East tournament title game. If a Seton Hall win against St. John's gets the Hall in the NCAA tournament I would root for that but I don't think it will.

Hall gets their 20th win and is locked into the 4/5 at MSG next week

If Providence wins their last 2 games then we will be the #1 seed in the Big East Tournament

Wouldn't it be better to get the 2 seed and get another quad 1 game vs Nova in the BET?
And a St. John's ranked around #15 instead of around #25 if they lost to Georgetown tonight.

You could make that argument, I guess the 1/2 seed doesn't really matter much outside of optics. But Seton Hall is also right on the border of being Q1 too in the 1/4 matchup

I feel like every year we get to selection Sunday and realize that conference tourneys have very little impact on NCAAT seeding.
I believe if it's splitting hairs, it won't matter. This year, I think it may be in the Florida 1/2 dynamic. I can see them penciling it in in advance, and we'll just be flip flopped in the same region.

The Friars are playing with no heart, no soul, and no purpose...like they know the season is all but over.

I gotta hand it to Deepster on this one, he called it.

Yeah, that BE 1 seed died quick and easy tonight.
Wouldn't say it's dead yet, even if it's ultimately meaningless. We'll still have about a 34% chance after tonight
