The RPI is an old metric that the NCAAT Committee is supposed to be migrated from. I use Massey which also is not perfect but at least makes sense vs. RPI. The PAC-12 has all 12 of its teams in the top 70 of 361 teams, Next is the SEC with 12 of 14, then ACC 12/15, Big12 9/10, Big10 10/14 and then BigEast with 6 of 11 schools in the top 70. Of interest on the screen shot is the games already played SoS (strength of schedule) and SSF (strength of all games played and to be played). The mighty SEC has the only the 5th best of all the conference schedules. Hmm, interesting for the mighty SEC....

You do have to take Massey early season stuff lightly as it contains significant data from last year. 12 games in seems to be the point where current season takes over. With some of the terrible P5 schedules this early in the season the results are meaningless - Washington schools are a prime example with meaningless wins and then losses to BYU (#103) and Santa Clara (#126)

Big East with four teams in the AP 25:
3. Uconn
13. Creighton
24. Marquette
25. Villanova

I think that might be Creighton's highest ranking ever?

(And as an added bonus ... TN gets dropped out.)
(Shocking - SEC has only SC and LSU in the rankings.)

And LSU at #11 is way too high considering the highest rated team that they have played so far in the Massey ratings is UAB, and they are rated #144 as of today's rating, the lowest is MS Valley St at #355. They will not play a team currently rated in the Top 50 until their first SEC game against Arkansas.

Just saw the story under 'power rankings' at ESPN, and Georgia team had had 5 players ejected in the VCU game, which was just prior to the game with Seton Hall. Story says that VCU shot eight technical free throws. Also Georgia guard Chapman was ejected for kicking a VCU player and suspended for game with Seton Hall. Georgia seems to have a problem with self-control. Some of this may have contributed to their loss to Seton Hall.
