Yet another example of why it's foolish to expect immediate contributions from young bigs.

Daimion Collins (#16 from Kentucky), Nathan Bittle (#28 from Oregon) and Jonas Aidoo (#40 from Tennessee) are all examples of bigs ranked higher than Samson Johnson who played less than 10 mpg last season. These kids take time.

To add, @navery12, Georgetown and Butler will be better while DePaul and Xavier have a good chance to be better. There are a lot of reasons why, but I always thought Aaron Thompson held back the full potential of Butler while a lot of people here think Paul Scruggs held back the potential of Xavier. Also, Freemantle is finally healthy.

Also, there's a realistic chance that all teams in the Big East will be within the KenPom top-100, which happened with this current group of teams (some years without UConn) as recently as 19-10, 17-18 and 14-15.

Not having Travis Steele coach is worth 3-4 wins for Xavier.

More of a depth addition for Seton Hall.

The 6'9 200 forward from Senegal averaged 1.6p, 1.9r, 0.7b in 9.7 mpg last season for Illinois State. Two years of eligibility remaining.

Wow. A total non-contributor at Illinois state. I wonder what their thinking is? Upside? He’s had already had 2 years of development.

Better than a walk-on in practice and if there is a disaster with injuries. Teams are just filling roster slots at this point in the Spring, and if he is using his one free transfer, then he isn't a threat to transfer again.
