Big East championship week …..

That said, I REALLY hope Dan Hurley has a plan to counter McDermott's "pack the paint" strategy to suffocate Sanogo offensively whenever we play them next (this season or next). We've seen it twice (AS was 6-16 in Omaha) and he'd be silly to not keep doing it until we can stop it.
As long as he dares us to hit our outside shots and we don't, it'll continue. Either we need a great shooting day or Dan Hurley needs to find a counter-strategy that will work. Better shooting guards next year would help a lot.

I'm not too proud, I'd love to see SJU knock 'Nova out of our side of the bracket. Nova 1of10 from 3 thus far. Make that 1 of 11

Nova has missed five wide open threes in the first twelve minutes against St John's.

I don't think they've missed five wide open threes against us since we returned to the Big East

Johnnies giving Nova a tough time in this 1st half.

Nova, St. John's, UConn, Seton Hall - it's great to see the old guard battling it out at MSG on quarterfinal Thursday night.

St. John's better not get comfortable here. Once Nova hits a couple three's, this thing could change pretty quick. Johnnies gotta bury 'em six feet deep.

Posh with just an awesome pass for the trailing dunk. His passing is underrated (but his defense is overrated).

St. Johns needs to weather this. It’s coming.

Horrible block/charge at the end of this half, and then Gillespie cashes in on a pump fake.

We will see if St. John's is disciplined enough to pull this off down the stretch.

It would be great for the league if St John's could win tonight. NYC will be buzzing Big East basketball tomorrow as Johnnie's fans come out of the woodwork.

Not really sure how to describe this; disorganized chaos may cover it.

I don't care if it may lead to wins, watching this as an example of this sport would lead me to follow professional bowling

Halftime of this game and the Garden is maybe 2/3 full (I guarantee it will be full before our game starts). NYC barely knows St John's exists.

Keep in mind UConn eeked out 2 wins against St John’s. If UConn beats Seton Hall they will have a tough match no matter who win this game.

I hope SJU becomes consistently good so NYC notices a lot more-it benefits the Big East and makes UConn-St. John’s games at MSG more talk of the town material which is also great for the Big East

Aren't the Huskies playing Seton Hall tonight?

NYC barely knows St John's exists - that's what happens when you haven't been relevant for about 20 years.

A good St. John's team is good for the Big East.
