Big Bubble Night Discussion

Wrong thread...this is about Bubble games nightly to keep an eye on.

You want the "need more ooc games" thread.

Normally, I love predicting the tournament field, but this season is such a SWAG that there is no point. I expect this to be the most arbitrary and infuriating field ever picked. I just hope that Fox Sports pulls for UConn with the Selection Committee, because I suspect that ESPN, Fox and CBS will have a lot more say in which teams go and where they are seeded than NET or W/L records.

Not as big a deal as bubble teams winning, but USC down 13 at the half to Colorado
They were underdogs tonight on the road anyways. The margin isn't great, but it happens.

Oregon up 3 on Stanford with 3 minutes left. This one would be big for us. ESPNU if you got it.

I can see Boise or SDSU making it to the 2nd weekend if they end up on the 7/10 line.

MSU hangs on with some favorable calls. They're back on the bubble after winning 3 straight against Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio State. Still work to do

But we got the two big losses we needed. Both of Lunardi's bubble teams playing tonight lost at home (Stanford, Minnesota).

Also got a Boise loss.

So for now looks like Minn & Stanford out.
Stanford still has a USC game so not dead.
Mich St alive with 4 regular season games left including Michigan twice.

What I think of when I hear big bubble and basketball.

Why is there such a discrepancy?

Edit: Between Palm and Lunardi.

Because, like @nelsonmuntz said earlier, this tournament is a WAG. So many uneven profiles. Very few OOC games. Is the B1G historically good, like the numbers say (probably not). Did the AAC become a 1-bid league overnight, legitimately (no). Etc Etc.

Brad Evans, who has a better track record than Lunardi the past 5 years, has UConn as a 10 seed.

It's a tough year with the metrics & unbalanced schedules to know what will be valued most so just keep winning.

http://www.bracketmatrix.com/ is my go-to. Yes, there is a lag, but being able to judge based on many predictions (and seeing where outliers are) is great data.
