SEC doesn't have men's soccer. South Carolina's men's soccer plays in the Sunbelt conference.UConn men's soccer would need to belong to a conference outside of the Big 12.

Not even Baylor? There's not one school in the B12 I'd be excited to watch UConn WBB play. Not one.
Hockey has been part of Hocey East for ages. I wouldn’t expect that to changeIsn't this common in other sports, like lacrosse with the University of Denver?
Baylor? Iowa? There's not one school in the B12 I'd be excited to watch UConn WBB play. Not one.
And Hockey East is one of the two best conferences in the country. Being able to stay in it is a good thing.Hockey has been part of Hocey East for ages. I wouldn’t expect that to change
Other conferences are doable
You mean Iowa State. Iowa is in the B1G.Baylor? Iowa?
There’s not one team in the Big East worth watching UConn Wbb play either. The conference is extrem weak. There's not one school in the B12 I'd be excited to watch UConn WBB play. Not one.
Some of the recent articles mention that the Big 12 will ask Colorado & another of 4 Pac 12 schools in the 4 corner states to join before asking UConn.Does anyone familiar with the Big 12 possibly extending an offer to UConn have an idea when an offer might be forthcoming?
Another factor to consider.Does anyone familiar with the Big 12 possibly extending an offer to UConn have an idea when an offer might be forthcoming?
That is directly contridicts what this same Chris Johnson said on twitter from Sunday night:
"I can confirm that UConn will formally announce their invitation to the Big 12 sometime this week per league sources. More details to come."

What a difference 24 hours makes!!!! (HuskyNan's is more current by almost exactly 24 hours than my quote here)
After 2026 the exit fee drops to $15 million, so the savings, potentially, would be also equal to $15 million. The exit fee can be paid over four years, without interest. That means that the cost differential is $2.75 million per year. The big 12 media distribution is $31 million per school per year. In addition to that, each school receives a $15M distribution for college football playoff participation. That means that the total distribution per school in the big 12 is approximately $47 million per school per year.Think about it, $30 million is a lot to pay the BE in exit fees just for UConn not wanting to delay joining the Big 12 for an extra year.
They're basically saying that UConn football has little value because of 11 consecutive losing seasons & is one of the worst teams in the nation..
July 18, 2023 - Is Arizona stopping UConn from getting a Big 12 all-sport invite? How resistance to bring Huskies on for all sports could kill the deal
Is Arizona stopping UConn from getting a Big 12 all-sport invite? How resistance to bring Huskies on for all sports could kill the deal
UConn has been in the Big 12 expansion rumors in the last few weeks.www.sportskeeda.com
Cracks me up - Colorado has been horrible for many years as has Arizona in football. Those two schools have never been mentioned as playoff teams. They're basically saying that UConn football has little value because of 11 consecutive losing seasons & is one of the worst teams in the nation..

It not about being horrible in football. It’s about fanbase passion in football for mediocre seasons by their schools. How many will travel to a bowl for their 6/6 school?Cracks me up - Colorado has been horrible for many years as has Arizona in football. Those two schools have never been mentioned as playoff teams.
It's about media markets. The Phoenix media market is twice the size of the Hartford market. More potential eyeballs = more media dollars.Cracks me up - Colorado has been horrible for many years as has Arizona in football. Those two schools have never been mentioned as playoff teams.
Not one school in the B12? I can think of four, Baylor, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, and Kansas. OMG!! Have you been to Allen Fieldhouse (Kansas)? There's not one school in the B12 I'd be excited to watch UConn WBB play. Not one.
I think we had more fans than you when we beat you in the bowl game. I get that times have changed, but they’ve changed for everyone. It not about being horrible in football.
