History says you are wrong, we did compete in football in a BCS conference(" a Power conference"). and with comparable resources we will again.We can't compete in football. Never will. It's money down the drain. Taxpayers' money down the drain, because it is Connecticut taxpayers who are shelling out tens of millions of dollars every year for the ever-deepening deficit in the sports department. We can compete in basketball and minor sports. But football? Never.
The deficit was inflated by 13MM+ because of the Coach Ollie situation. That goes away this year.
You seem to have no idea how the AD deficit is made up.
