OT: Best Pizza in CT

Even though Sally's in New Haven is closed right now, just an FYI that matches your point. My son was in New Haven a few weeks ago and called Sally's around 4:30 to order a pizza. He was told the pizza would be ready in 4 hours. Crazy. Modern never seems to have waits like that.

I haven’t been able to get a takeout pizza from modern in months.

Sally’s is overrated. No wait. Sally’s is the best. And Pepes is overrated. No wait. Sally’s is overrated.

Ngl this is some massive disrespect to the OG pizza thread. You gotta pay your dues and read all 338 pages to find the best pizza in Fairfield starting in New Hampshire. Or ya know, use the search function.

I’m taking my son to the UConn game tomorrow… his first time in Connecticut. In Fairfield area, need best pizza spots. (I’m not gonna look through that monster thread of 1000 posts just need a quick poll)
There is no game tomorrow (Friday), and the Creighton game on Saturday is at noon.

Fairfield Pepe's (best of the bunch) is 82 miles from Gampel, and the game has a noon tip-off.

Pepe's is not just the best pizza, but also the most compatible with eating there. It opens at 10:30. That's a pretty tight fit.

You've given no reason why you've chosen Fairfield over any place closer to Storrs that might open later, and work better for getting to the game on time. As is, things don't add up, but you can certainly just work with the poll, which you've already said is your interest and intention.

Someone is selling a satin DeCusati's Apizza bomber jacket on eBay. I never heard of it. Anyone remember this place? Whaley Avenue maybe?

Time for BY AI.

Rather than read through megathreads, just ask BY AI to summarize it for you.

We can call the AI tool "The Answer ".

Where'd you go?

We went to Sally’s… was fantastic! Heard the Pepe’s in Fairfield was not as good as New Haven.
I am in market research and appreciate a good survey … or AI to summarize all of the comments. Didn’t meant to dis the 355 pg thread on pizza.. lol
On a sidenote, after the game we went to Wilmington Pizza.. I forgot how good the crust was there, it’s been 20 years.
Thanks for the opinions!

Someone recommended the Butcher and Baker as a good place for pizza in. Farmington. I never heard of it. Any feedback?

Anyone?
I wouldn’t think of them when it comes to pizza (not saying it’s bad, just think of them as more of an American style all encompassing restaurant)

If you’re going to be closer to West Hartford I’d recommend Harry’s (Bishops Corner) or Savoy (West Hartford center but more personal size which could be annoying for a group). In Farmington, Naples is a solid spot for pizza.

And, in the West End of Hartford, Pizza Garden is great for all styles of pizza with great sandwiches in a casual environment. Their pizza is as good as any in Greater Hartford.
