It’s more a meme of this subforum than anything elseThis is a great thread, but I notice it didn’t get moved to the food and travel forum.

I support it being here. But I don’t think the thread I started should have been moved either. I’ll say what I think tyvmIt’s been here longer than you… move along.
Recently had Rossini's in East Hampton, CT again. I gotta think it's the best pizza east of the river. Very affordable too - a large pepperoni pie was gigantic and $22.50ish all in
I have been looking for good pizza in Mexico. Considering MX has such good food they have surprisingly average pizza. I have not found anything that really knocks my socks off in my city of Monterrey, but I found some really excellent pizza in the city of Queretaro.
Ristorante Bar Nabucco
if anyone with MX experience has found good pizza in MX, let me know.
that was a salchicha.... way betterWent to an all-inclusive where they put hot dogs on the pizza. That was different...
MSC Cruise line does that also! grossWent to an all-inclusive where they put hot dogs on the pizza. That was different...
When I lived in Mexico City, only places with decent pizzas were the sit down wood oven Neapolitan places. I would hope that that would've changed over the years, but otherwise Dominos pretty much owned take out.I have been looking for good pizza in Mexico. Open your own place, it’s a great niche, Mexican folks don’t know better, expats will be happy to have anything besides dominosI have been looking for good pizza in Mexico. DittoI've had linguica on pizza out on California. It holds up well.
I tried it the day they opened. It was good but not on the level of the Wooster St. location when they are on top of their game. My office is close to there and it beats out any of the other places I have tried in that area. Not expecting the world out of it but has anyone tried the Sally’s on the Silas Deane Highway?
There's one here in Houston ... NOT a pizza capitol by any means. Mondo has become the go-toI finally went to Mondo in Middletown this weekend and it didn’t disappoint. As other have generally noted, it might not be up there with the top New Haven places, but I’d put it in the next tier. My fresh tomato and basil pie was delicious. I had a slice of my son’s bacon pizza, which was also excellent. My wife added prosciutto and arugula to a red pizza with mozzarella, as opposed to the prosciutto and arugula white pie. It wasn’t as good as her favorite version of that (Keste in NYC), but it was tasty.
We enjoyed Sicily when we were in Middletown for lunch a few years back, and I’d definitely like to hit that up again.

There's a place called PaPa's Tomatio Pies in Robbinsville, New Jersey that is known for their Mustard Pizza. We tried, against my reservations as a staunch Sally's fanatic. It shouldn't work, but somehow, it did. The tangy flavor surprisingly meshed with the dough and sauce. I'm reasonably persuaded to try it again.

Delorenzos is better in my opinion but can't go wrong with either!
There are two De Lorenzo's Pizza in the area. One in Robbinsville (De Lorenzo's, De Lorenzo's Tomato Pies Est. 1947) that I particularly like and find they come close-ish to Sally's with the char while the other is in Hamilton (DeLorenzo's, Pizza Restaurant | Private Event Space | Trenton, NJ | DeLorenzo's Pizza) and is also very good. Haven't decided yet which one has the better anchovy pizza. They are separate entities but related by blood (similar to Sally's and Pepe's). There's Conte's Pizza in Princeton is another joint that is quite good, and I've conversed with the elder staff in Italian.Papa’s is solid. Need to try DeLorenzo’s nearby and DeLucia’s.
Former RB Max Delorenzo deserves restitution for missed nilDelorenzos is better in my opinion but can't go wrong with either!

Other than its clam pizza, Pepe’s is overrated. In New Haven, I prefer Modern. In greater New Haven, Bobby’s on Rte 80 in North Branford has been, and remains, my go-to for 38 years, even though I have lived in Farmington for the past twelve.I've got money on Pepe's in New Haven but what do you all think?
