Wally is a good friend of mine, he's one of the greats in every sense of the word. A+ person and coach.

yeah, I’m not saying it never happens..just that it isn’t happening as much as people think.
The catholic schools also lose good players every year (especially recently) to prep schools that truly recruit. There’s also kids that say they are recruited because they attended a camp and the coach asked what they were going to do for high school, etc. but that’s not really recruiting (yes, it’s definitely an advantage though).

I also don’t think you can accurate address these coaches who got to recruit from other states and play S sized farm towns in the state tourney

Played with the Murphys, Willie and Richie "Gumby" also Philip, at Harding , Coach Jim Kish was the original drill instructor coach and ran a crazy ship with fight and elbows flying. He once locked the police out of the locker room after a fight with Fairfield Prep
