Man, what a work day and P+Z meeting afterward. Need this now...

An Imperial stout called Davidly Roth. Chocolate, vanilla, almonds and toasted coconut innit.
Are you a P&Z board member ready to hammer folks or a humble applicant groveling before the panel? I won't judge you either way!

He's a tax-fattened hyena there to block the building of a much needed orphanage because he thought he heard a turtle burp somewhere on the property.
Have to protect the wetlands at all cost.

Exit 4...not a commission member or groveler.

At Caius Farm in Branford swiggin' a Breslau-style Schoeps aged in an apple brandy barrel.

So damned tasty..

Sad times.

My LDL numbers are going in the wrong direction. Gonna make some serious diet changes for next 6 months. My home beer shall be reduced to crispy bois on weekends. IPAs and stouts will be weekend treats out on the town.

But, the beer fridge has to be dealt with.

Here, an Evil Twin stout called Freezer Fresh Sundae - Rocky Road. Choklit soft serve, fudge brownies, almonds, marshmallow and vaniller.

I went to the Gastro Park in West Hartford yesterday. It's got a brewery vibe to it and has a kitchen with a limited menu (smashburgers, hotdogs. There were also three food trucks outside too. Pretty decent selection of beers on tap and in bottles and cans.

They featured 12% Brewing's Snappy Lager and Fat Orange Cat's Baby Kittens for $5 during happy hour. I also enjoyed "The Elmwood Special" which is a High Life pony, a shot of Jameson and a smash burger for $10.

“Beer Expert! My god! I was worried about you! I have been drinking water for months waiting for your return! Help me!”

Of course. I was busy. These beers do not research themselves.

Flowers at Dusk, a dark lager from Sante Adairus. Distribution might be tough and it’s definitely expensive, but whatever you can find from these people, buy ‘em. This is very, very good - not quite as good as their Vanilla Joe, but absolutely excellent. Probably my favorite brewery at this point. (I have settled on a top four.)

Lawson’s Nitro Stout.

Really good. Top notch.

Only one small problem….there’s a beer out there that is probably sold in the same stores that just smokes it. And that is….

This one.

Marlowe’s Good Luck Have Fun.

This is awesome. Perfect. I love it.

Even the can art is terrific. Some Marlowes look like fever dreams.

Perhaps my second favorite beer I have had since I became your Beer Expert. Buy it.

The next even mediocre beer from Marlowe will be the first.

New Park out of West Hartford has non-alcoholic brews. Great for late prime time Huskies games.
