Gorgeous day at Trillium. Fort Point is an all time great beer.

"Beer Expert! Where have you been? We're all alone, adrift in a mindless sea of Beer Advocate reviews! Please, come back!"

I tell you, my in-box is loaded with such messages. Fortunately, I have been doing extensive research and will be back to help you as soon as practicable

Been living in Norwalk for nine years and a finally made my first visit to Spacecat yesterday afternoon. Just a beautiful spot and excellent vibe. Spent whole afternoon outside and had the UConn game streaming from my phone in the background.

Beer of choice was Event Horizon, their excellent seasonal schwarzbier that had a really nice balance between its lighter drinkability with roasty/toasty malts. So much flavor at 5.2% .

In Bristol, CT, Firefly Brewing closed over a year ago. Turns out the head breer wasnt into changing careers so he opened his own place where Transcend used to be.
Here, a stout on nitro,

from Vue Brewing.

Love my stouts with adjuncts. But my faves are not in this stout brewed by Timber Alesx Wayward Lane Brewing (Schoharie, NY). Here, Beneath Covered Bridges.

It's about 10 minutes from me. They've grown like a weed. I remember when I was stepping behind and pouring my own beer from the taps there. Good group of young Colorado transplants. I rarely drink been any more, but I do grab their Cloud Generator when I can.

The owner/brewers wife was pouring. I walked in and her sister and brother in law were there. She said her husband learned Brewing in Maine.

Adam is the brewer and Allie is his wife at Wayward Lane. I know them personally.

Adam bottled in Colorado for a long time, Andrew's family owned the farm and is the one that does the honey. Kyle runs the retail distribution/sales was friends with Adam in Colorado.

The head brewer isn't from Maine.

I haven’t been able to visit the brewery yet, but have been lucky to drink a lot of Wayward Lane since their stuff entered distro thru DeCicco’s. Adam Rosenthal is a very talented brewer and a seriously good dude. Met him when he came down to Mamaroneck to brew a WCIPA with Zac at Marlowe. Great collab.

Speaking of collabs, this was the front end of the home-and-home with Marlowe, brewed in Schoharie. A 3% (yes, 3%) Czech amber lager that knocked my socks off.

Sorry. I thought you responded to my Vue Brewing post. My bad.

The Timber x Wayward Lane stout is bomber for a 12% abv. Brings on the sleepys.
